Donna and Thorne meet at the hospital where they are both comforting Brooke Logan Forrester who was scared that she might miscarry her child. Unfortunately Brooke did end up losing her child. Donna was infatuated with Thorne, but he was the husband of Caroline Spencer Forrester at that time. Soon after Thorne is a single man again as Caroline left him to be with his brother Ridge Forrester. Donna and Thorne were spending time together at the pool and soon Donna revealed to her sister Brooke that she has fallen for the young Forrester man. The two go for a romantic dinner and share a kiss. The Logan woman was very excited when Thorne asked her out for a movie. Their sweet fling didn't last long and soon after Thorne started dating his future wife Macy Alexander Sharpe.

Donna blamed Thorne's mother for the fact that her sister Brooke lost custody of her two children. She decided that she wants revenge so she decides to seduce a drunk Thorne. The couple make love and Thorne is infatuated. Soon after the two became engaged. Donna's younger sister Katie Logan left bad for Thorne and decided to tell him that Donna is just using him. When Thorne found out that Donna wasn't genuinely interested the wedding was called off.
