Thomas Hamilton Forrester is a character on The Bold and the Beautiful. He is currently portrayed by Matthew Atkinson since 2019. The role was previously played by Patrick Dorn (2002-03), Drew Tyler Bell (2004-10), Adam Gregory (2010-14), and Pierson Fodé (2015-18).

Biography

Thomas is the son of Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes. He has two younger sisters, the late Phoebe Forrester and Steffy Forrester and two younger half-brother, R.J. Forrester, from Ridge's marriage to Brooke Logan and Jack Marone from Taylor's marriage to his uncle Nick Marone. He shares a son, Douglas Forrester, with the late Caroline Spencer.

Conception and Childhood

When Taylor discovered she was pregnant with her first child, she attempted to tell Ridge that he was the father. However, when she saw her romantic rival, Brooke, seducing him, she nearly miscarried from stress. Thinking that Ridge would be happier with Brooke, Taylor, Thorne Forrester (Ridge's brother), and Brooke convinced everyone that Thorne was the father. Brooke and Thorne were secretly working together to make sure that Ridge and Taylor wouldn't get back together and convinced both of them that the other did not want them. Taylor wanted to tell Ridge the truth many times, but agreed to keep quiet when Brooke announced her own pregnancy and Ridge was the father. When Taylor realized that Brooke was actually not pregnant, Brooke moved up the wedding day causing Taylor to miss it due to giving birth to her son in the back of Thorne's car. When she saw the unmistakable bond between Ridge and her baby and realized he really wasn't in love with Brooke at the time, Taylor confessed everything to Ridge, about him being the baby's real father, about Brooke's false pregnancy, and how Brooke convinced her to have Thorne be the father instead. Furious, Ridge annulled his marriage to Brooke and proposed, later married, Taylor. In 1999, Taylor and Ridge were overjoyed when they discovered they were expecting twin daughters. Just a few months before the expected delivery, Taylor was infected with tuberculosis by a homeless man. She refused treatment when antibiotics could affect both her unborn daughters and gave birth to them. Taylor eventually recovered from the disease and named her twins Steffy and Phoebe. Ridge and Taylor finally had the family they had always wanted, but in 2001, while on vacation, Steffy was presumed dead when she fell overboard from a boat during a storm, but was actually kidnapped by a mentally unstable woman named Morgan DeWitt who wanted a child with Ridge. Ridge rescued Steffy and Taylor from Morgan, and they reunited with Thomas and Phoebe. But in 2002, Taylor died after being shot by Sheila Carter while defending Brooke. After her death, Thomas and his sisters were upset when Brooke took over as a parent for them and married Ridge.

In 2004, after being aged to 18, Thomas became involved with Caitlin Ramirez, Hector Ramirez's daughter who was an intern at Forrester Creations. Starting out as friends, they eventually began dating each other. But their relationship went downhill when Thomas discovered that Caitlin was also seeing Rick Forrester. Devastated, Thomas found comfort in Rick's babysitter, Amber Moore. What started as a friendship between them soon turned into a serious relationship after Amber seduced Thomas, much to Ridge and Stephanie's dismay. But they unwillingly began accepting their relationship even after Ridge tried getting a restraining order against Amber, but was declined because Thomas was over 18. Ridge never gave up on trying to break them up, but Thomas eventually came to the realization that Amber wasn't the one for him and completely dumped Amber after she nearly got Ridge and Bridget Forrester killed in Big Bear.

From his childhood to the present (particularly developing in the latter), Thomas has been known for suffering mental instability, supposedly due to his traumas partly caused by his father's absence.

Marriage to Gaby

He began seeing Caitlin again after her relationship with Rick didn't work out. In 2005, Thomas became interested in Gabriela Moreno, devastating Caitlin who tried to win Thomas back. Gaby revealed to Thomas that she was the daughter of Helen Moreno, was a long-time maid for Forrester. They both shared a community in having loss their mothers at young ages. It was then revealed that Taylor was actually alive and reunited with her family. Although he was grateful to Brooke for everything she had done for him and his sisters when Taylor was thought to be dead, Thomas asked Brooke to step aside so this parents could continue their marriage. Brooke reluctantly agreed and moved out of Ridge's home and her marriage to Ridge was declared invalid. During this time, Thomas also took an interest in becoming a designer and even tried out for the summer internship, but his grandfather, Eric Forrester, turned him down because he was too young and inexperienced. However, Sally Spectra, owner of Spectra Couture, hired him right away, not caring that he was young and inexperienced.

In order to keep Gaby from being deported, Thomas proposed to her and they married in Las Vegas. Ridge and Taylor were divided by their marriage: Ridge wanted Thomas to annulled the marriage immediately while Taylor accepted the relationship. She even allowed them to move into their house on one condition: no sex in the family home. But Thomas and Gaby couldn't resist the temptation and had sex, which was later exposed by his sister, Phoebe, after she found a condom wrapper. Thinking that her brother's marriage would cause her parents to separate, she showed Taylor the condom wrapper, enraging her. She called the Immigration Department and told them Gaby was an illegal, but Gaby's lawyer managed to keep her in the country, which turned into a heated rivalry between Taylor and Gaby.

After refusing to accept their marriage, Ridge finally offered a compromise to Thomas: they would both design teen lines for their respective fashion homes. If Thomas won, their marriage could continue without interference from the family. But if Ridge won, the marriage would be annulled and Gaby would be deported. Thomas accepted the challenge and Sally even bet her company that Thomas will win the challenge. After the showdown, Thomas lost his challenge and Sally lost her company. When the annulment papers arrived, it was then revealed that Taylor had gone to great lengths to get Gaby to become a legal U.S. citizen and succeeded. Gaby and Thomas then agreed that Taylor was right about their marriage and they both reluctantly annulled their marriage and Gaby left town to attend college. Thomas eventually left Los Angeles as well to attend college and returned for various family occasions.

Leaving L.A.

Thomas was heartbroken when he and his sisters found out that Ridge and Taylor were ending their marriage and he was returning to Brooke. Thomas left town for college again and later began working for Forrester Internationals in Paris.

Death of Phoebe and Hatred of Rick

Thomas returned to Los Angeles in 2009 to mourn the tragic death of his sister, Phoebe. He believed Rick was responsible for her death as he was driving when she was killed. He then was livid when he found out that not only did Rick hit on Phoebe and Taylor, he then began hitting on his other sister, Steffy. Soon, Rick's life was being threatened when his house was intentionally set on fire and his car was bombed. Taylor soon discovered that Rick's assailant was Thomas. Thomas admitted to Taylor, Ridge, and Steffy that he set Rick's house on fire and blew up his car for revenge, but claimed that he wanted to scare him off, not kill him. Although Steffy was at first furious with Thomas for threatening her lover's life, she eventually agreed with Ridge and Taylor to keep quiet about his criminal attempts. Rick eventually found out that Thomas was his assailant and wanted him hauled off to jail, but held off as Ridge convinced him that neither him nor any of the Forresters tried to incriminate him for Phoebe's death. Rick agreed to keep quiet about Thomas, but on the condition that he gets Steffy in return. Although unhappy with the decision, the family accepted his Rick and Steffy's relationship, and Thomas began getting counselled by James Warwick. Ridge and Rick's hatred toward each other nearly tore up his relationship with Brooke. Later on, he and Steffy manipulated Brooke by pretending to be Ridge via text messages to keep her from ruining Ridge and Taylor's wedding. But Brooke eventually discovered that Thomas and Steffy tried to keep her away, and Ridge reunited with Brooke, much to the dismay of the kids, but Taylor accepted it. Thomas once again left town and returned to Forrester Internationals in Paris.

Thomas returned in 2010 completely unaware of the changes that have happened in the last year. He discovered that Taylor gave Steffy her 25% shares in Forrester Creations (which she had earned earlier when Steffy re-handed the stock to Ridge, Stephanie, Taylor, and Eric). To keep Thomas at ease, Steffy offers him the Vice-President seat which he accepts. Tired of biting his own tongue, Thomas finally lashes out at Taylor for creating a monster out of Steffy by giving her all of Taylor's stock and accuses Steffy of being a tyrant and a hypocrite for also judging and criticizing Brooke of being sexual and seductive towards men when Steffy did the exact same thing to Bill Spencer Jr.. to get the company back in the hands of the Forresters. Thomas goes against the company's wishes to let Brooke leave it for awhile after she causing a scandal when she inadvertently slept with her daughter, Hope Logan's boyfriend, Oliver Jones during Hope's graduation celebration just to spite Taylor and Steffy. He believes the scandal will die down as it has done in the past, but bringing Brooke back in the forefront will only escalate the scandal of becoming a more focused media topic.

Attraction Towards Brooke

Later on in 2010, Thomas develops his own fashion line "Taboo", involving himself and Brooke as main public promotional workers. Advised by his newly stepfather, Whip Jones to create attention on his line after thinking he is being outshine by Hope's line, Hope For The Future, Thomas invites Brooke up on stage and unexpectedly kisses her, upsetting Ridge and Taylor. The kiss causes a huge buzz, making Taboo one of Forrester Creation's most successful line since Brooke's "Bedroom Line." He claims that the kiss was to attract attention from the media and audience and that Brooke had nothing to do with it. Taylor however knowing Brooke's track record when it comes to Forrester men, doesn't believe it and thinks Brooke tricked him into kissing her. Though claiming that the kiss was just a business move and refusing to apologize to Ridge for kissing Brooke, Thomas begins developing an attraction towards Brooke. Taylor again accuses Brooke of trying to seduce Thomas because she can't help herself when it comes to men, though Brooke claims nothing is going on between her and her stepson. After a successful press conference in Paris, Thomas kisses Brooke while sleeping on the jet ride back home. Completely uncomfortable with it and believing it to be inappropriate, Brooke wanted to tell Ridge what Thomas did, but Thomas convinces her to keep it quiet as it will create an misunderstanding amongst the three of them. But Taylor overhears their conversation and tells Ridge, but again believing that Brooke came onto Thomas which was why he kissed her. Furious, Ridge decided to cut the Taboo Line, but Thomas interferes and he announces the line will continue on, causing Brooke to be put in the middle between Ridge and Thomas. However, because of the success of the line, Ridge decides to keep the line intact and also gives Thomas five percent of his own 25% ownership, infuriating Taylor.

Marooned with Brooke

In 2011, while on their way to another press conference in Sydney, Thomas and Brooke's jet crashes in the Pacific Ocean during a major storm. Although still alive, they end up stranded on a deserted island near Fiji. The rest of the Forresters begin a wide search for them. While on the island, Brooke comes across some berries, but Thomas believes that they could be poisoned. Suffering from hunger, Brooke eats some of the berries and convinces Thomas to eat some as nothing is wrong with them. Later on, they begin feeling the effects of the berries as it causes them to have strange hallucinations and causes aphrodisiac. Ridge eventually finds and rescues Brooke and Thomas, but they begin feeling sick from the berries and wonder what had happened to them will drugged. Stephanie finds out about the strange berries when Taylor accidentally ate some when Thomas brought them back to have them tested and offers Thomas a deal he can't refuse: she will give him her entire 25% ownership to add to his 5%, making him the full owner of Forrester Creations, if he said that he and Brooke had sex on the island (knowing that Ridge would leave Brooke and go back to Taylor). Thomas at first refused to go along with it, but Stephanie convinces him more and more. When Brooke comes clean about her and Thomas eating those berries and completely unaware of what had happened while they were drugged, Thomas came in and tearfully confesses that he and Brooke slept with each other on the island. Ridge, having told Brooke that if the two ever crossed the line with each other would leave her, leaves Brooke and goes back to Taylor. Stephanie's newly friend and Thomas' new girlfriend, Dayzee Leigh, thinks something is wrong with Thomas, believing he's guilty of something else other than sleeping with his stepmother. Thomas comes clean to Dayzee about what happened on the island and admits that he didn't have sex with Brooke. Dayzee convinces Thomas that he should stand up to Stephanie and come clean to his parents before they go along with the wedding. Thomas finally tells off Stephanie and says he will expose the real truth. During the wedding however, Stephanie (feeling guilty and knowing it was eating Thomas alive) is the one who admits the truth about her and Thomas' deception. The family is completely stunned about the revelation, especially Ridge and Taylor. Taylor blames mostly Stephanie for manipulating Thomas into the deception and then tells Ridge that whichever decision he makes, she will fully support him. Ridge leaves and reunites with Brooke and tells her everything. Ridge and Brooke find it hard to forgive him for the lie. Dayzee dumps Thomas for not not telling the truth before Stephanie, leaving him heartbroken. Ridge not only cuts the Taboo Line, he also moves him down into the Forrester's Shipping Department as a somewhat punishment.

Interest in Hope

Later on that year, Thomas began taking an interest in his adoptive step-sister, Hope. She had previously dated and was engaged to Bill Spencer's son, Liam Spencer, but broke it off when she caught him cheating with her rival and Thomas' sister, Steffy. Liam later married Steffy and Thomas began to flirt with Hope. Later on, Steffy and Thomas conspire with each other that to keep the two apart. Hope becomes attracted to Thomas, despite her still lingering feelings for Liam. After Christmas, Hope and Thomas go on vacation down in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Little do they know is that Liam and Steffy are staying at the exact same resort by coincidence. Thomas and Steffy soon realize this and again conspire to make sure that Liam and Hope don't see each other. Steffy teams up with Bill to get an engagement ring for Thomas so he could propose to Hope. When Thomas proposes, Hope politely turns him down as she still had some feelings for Liam and it was too soon; Thomas, heartbroken, however understands and they continue their time in Mexico. Steffy then converts to Plan B: get Hope drunk so Thomas could seduce her. The plan works, but Liam eventually discovers Hope and Thomas there and goes after them, leaving Steffy feel defeated. Thomas sees Liam calling for Hope and encourages her to take a ride on the ATVs, but Hope eventually sees Liam. They share a kiss, but Thomas reminds Liam that he's married to Steffy, his sister. When they drive back, they find Steffy laying on the ground unconscious after her ATV crashed. While at the hospital, knowing that Liam was going to dump Steffy for Hope, Bill devises a plan to have the doctor convince Steffy, Liam, and everyone else that she has a blood clot in her brain and if she gets upset and becomes under stress, she could die. The doctor unwillingly goes along with it, and Liam decides to stay with Steffy. On the jet ride back home, Thomas admits to Hope that Steffy encouraged him to date Hope so Steffy could have a happy marriage with Liam. Hope dumps Thomas, leaving him hurt.

Romance with Caroline

In 2012, Brooke made it her mission to get Rick's ex-wife, Amber, out of Forrester Creations and hires Karen Spencer's daughter, Caroline Spencer II, to work with Rick on their new fashion line and too also get Rick's mind off of Amber. At the same time, however, Thomas suddenly takes an interest in Caroline, continuing the Forrester/Logan feud, this time with the sons. Thomas and Caroline eventually go out on a date and she introduces him to Karen and Karen's partner, Danielle, revealing that Caroline has two mothers. At first stunned and speechless, Thomas accepts and supports the three women's relationship, which Caroline appreciates and draws even closer to him. While Rick is still interested in Caroline, he tells his friend, Othello, to lie to his sister, Hope, that her soon-to-be husband, Liam, that he and his ex-wife, Steffy, were making out while partying at a nightclub, knowing that Hope would leave him. Rick then admits to Thomas that although they never see eye-to-eye on anything, Rick agreed that Thomas was the better man for Hope than Liam was. This causes Thomas to remember his deep feelings he had for Hope when they went to Cabo earlier that year. Rick begins taking advantage as Hope and Thomas' relationship begins stirring up trouble with his relationship with Caroline. Rick even instigates Caroline's jealousy towards Hope.

When Ridge left town after a break-up with Brooke, he names Thomas interim CEO of Forrester Creations, which infuriates Rick, believing he should be CEO because of his experience. During a heated altercation, Thomas shoves Rick out the window, horrifing Caroline that he would resort to physical violence and breaks up with Thomas and pursues Rick. As Rick began taunting Thomas that he got Caroline, Thomas ends up getting the last laugh when he uses his CEO position to work closely with Caroline and assigns Rick to work with Hope on her campaign. Soon, the position begins to go to Thomas' head and he begins to show off and throw his weight around, even telling Brooke that she is only a valued employee, not a Forrester. Wanting to attract the new and younger customers, Thomas decides to upgrade some new technology at Forrester, to which Rick is absolutely against the idea, but Caroline was impressed. During a moment, the two share a kiss, which is witnessed by Hope.

When Stephanie lost her battle from lung cancer, Thomas was ready to seize the opportunity to get her 25% shares to add to his 5%, which would make him the full owner. However, Stephanie left behind a video will in which she revealed that she found a loophole in the company's original Articles of Incorporation. The loophole allowed her to rename her husband, Eric, the CEO of Forrester Creations. Eric then offers a fashion showdown between Rick and Thomas and the winner will become president. During the showdown, Eric names Rick president, angering Thomas even more. Having enough of always losing to the Logans, Thomas decided to move to Paris, upsetting Taylor. She shows up at the Forrester mansion and accuses the late Stephanie of betraying her family. She then decides to get even with Brooke and her family by beginning a romance with Eric. Taylor uses this opportunity to make Brooke feel insecure and to also appoint Thomas the new vice president and telling an angry Rick to respect Thomas' ideas.

After the first-quarter numbers arrive during a meeting, it reveals that during Rick's time as president, sales plummeted due to his ideas. While Rick is working at Dayzee's and spending some time with new girl, Maya, Thomas uses Rick's absent to convince Eric to hear his progressive ideas again. During Thomas' presentation, however, Brooke interrupted by re-launching her once successful Brooke's Bedroom Line, thanks to major support from her brother-in-law, Bill. Eric decided to green-lit the Bedroom Line and once again turns down Thomas' ideas.

Thomas begin finding some comfort when he attended Steffy's unusual wedding to Liam at the Forrester Mansion. Later on, Caroline convinced him, Rick, Oliver, Carter, and Marcus to strut their moves on the runway, modeling bedroom couture for the men's line. The event was for Caroline's cancer foundation fundraiser, to which was an instant success. When Taylor moved in with Eric at the mansion, Thomas moved into the beach house in Santa Monica and offered a room for Oliver as well. Thomas offered his support when Steffy suffered a miscarriage after she got into a motorcycle accident.

Rick was in a business meeting with Eric, Thorne, Caroline, and Thomas where his contributions weren't high and Eric felt Forrester Creations could use a new president. They all made an agreement if Caroline's contributions for Hope For The Future don't work out Rick will be replaced. Thomas and Thorne teamed up to kick Rick out (partly because of Thomas and Rick's bad history) and have Thorne be president and Thomas vice president. Thomas explained Thorne is someone he can trust. Thorne and Thomas confronted this to Eric and Rick, Thomas, Thorne, Eric, and Caroline had another meeting. Caroline babbled something about Hope For The Future. But Thomas and Thorne contradicted that even though the sales are up they need a profit. Eric let Rick stay president until further evidence of Hope For The Future Sales. During the relaunch fashion show of HFTF with a slew of foreign buyers picked out by Rick, Thorne and Thomas were positive that Rick would lose his president seat as all the buyers had no kind of reaction towards the show. However, when the final results came out, all were stunned when Eric revealed that Forrester was being overwhelmingly flooded with orders, making the HFTF re-launch a major success. Due to a job well done, Rick is permanently kept as president, disappointing Thorne and Thomas as they didn't get the promotions they were hoping for. Thomas was said to have joined Ridge, Taylor and Steffy in Paris during fall 2013.

When Brooke, Hope, and Wyatt arrive in Paris at Forrester International for a HFTF campaign, Thomas greets them and then is intrigued by Wyatt's ideas of having Stephanie Forrester's jewelry collection to be tied into the new HFTF line and put on display. While Brooke, Hope, Thomas, and Thorne all agree it would be the best way to honor Stephanie's memory, however, Aly Forrester resents the idea.

Caroline and Douglas

Thomas returns to Los Angeles in July of 2015, to attend Aly's funeral and to support Steffy who killed her in self-defense. After the funeral, Thomas explained to Ridge and Caroline that he will be staying permanently in L.A. He asked Ridge for a job at Forrester Creations but Ridge kept giving him a hard time, stating there are no executive positions available and every employee has to earn their job. Thomas stated he actually wants to be part of the design team. Thomas explained with Ridge being CEO, he has many responsibilities and he prefers designing over crunching numbers. Ridge agreed to make him part of the design team.

Caroline saw Thomas working out and Thomas joked with her about her relationship with his dad and asked how it all started. Thomas drew a portrait of Caroline.

Thomas comes to Ridge's apartment to tell Caroline that Ridge tore his design. Caroline feels empathetic and talks with him on the couch while her feet hurt and Thomas massages them for her. Thomas has a dream of kissing her leg and then he locks the doors and kisses her. Thomas snaps out of the dream and he finishes massaging her feet when Ridge arrives and Thomas and Caroline explain he came looking for Ridge who tore up his designs and he gave her a foot rub.

Thomas reunites with Steffy to comfort her. Steffy explains the details of what happened the night Aly died. Steffy admits to only Thomas that she remembers hitting Aly with a tire iron and that Aly didn't slip and fall. Steffy feels extremely guilty and Thomas assures her it's not her fault. Steffy thinks about telling the police but Thomas insists she keeps it a secret since she's not guilty and if she changes her story, she'll get arrested. Steffy admits to Thomas that Ivy witnessed the accident and she's been acting weird ever since. Thomas insists on confronting Ivy.

Thomas confronts Ivy and tells her to stay away from Steffy and that it's not her fault. Ivy shows Thomas the video on her phone of Steffy hitting Aly with a tire iron. Steffy becomes very nervous about Ivy and confides that in Thomas. Thomas confronts Ivy a second time and explains he didn't tell Steffy about the video because he didn't want to scare her. But Thomas demands Ivy to delete the video. Ivy blackmails Thomas into making her the new face of Forrester Creations to keep her silence or Steffy will go to prison. At the conference, Ridge was leaning on choosing Steffy when Ivy stated she'd like to give it a shot. Steffy and Ridge were initially concerned but Wyatt backed her up and Thomas spoke up and agreed that Ivy would be better because people are still talking about the incident with Aly. Steffy is angry with Thomas and he informed her about the blackmail and the video.

Thomas confides in Caroline that Ivy is blackmailing Steffy with the video on her phone. Caroline is very concerned but Thomas insists that Caroline cannot tell Ridge.

Brooke informs Thomas that Ridge is going to decide whether or not he'll have a child with Caroline. Ridge tells Caroline she'll be a wonderful mother and he wants her to raise her child. But not with him. He says the man she'll have a child with is lucky. Caroline is devastated and bursts out crying and leaves Ridge's apartment. Caroline rents her own apartment. Thomas calls Caroline to ask if his designs will be good enough for the California Freedom line for Ridge. Carolien sounds upset and starts to cry and Thomas insists on coming over. Caroline explains she's not at Ridge's apartment and Thomas asks for her address. Caroline texts Thomas her address. Caroline takes some anti-anxiety pills she stole from Pamela Douglas. Thomas arrives at her apartment and Caroline confides in him about how Ridge broke her heart. Thomas pours them both a glass of wine and they continue to talk. Caroline lies on the bed and is drunk and high and calls Thomas a good friend. Thomas kisses Caroline. The next morning, Thomas and Caroline wake up in her bed. Caroline questions what happened and is shocked to hear that Thomas and her made love. Caroline is upset and devastated. Caroline doesn't remember making love to Thomas but Thomas explains they did after they talked and drank wine. Caroline tries to recollect and and accuses Thomas of taking advantage of her if she passed out. Thomas explains she wanted it too after they kissed. Caroline remembers taking Pam's anti-anxiety pills, making her unaware, accusing Thomas of taking advantage of her. Thomas explains they talked for a very long while and she was fully aware. Caroline leaves devastated. Ridge texts Caroline to come back to his apartment. Ridge apologizes and admits he wants to be with her. Ridge stated even though he doesn't really want to, he's willing to have a child with her. Caroline becomes emotional and happily accepts his offer. Ridge texts Thomas to come over. Ridge announces that they're back together and are trying to have a baby. Thomas congratulates them and Ridge claims he called Thomas over because he's had his doubts about their relationship.

Ridge and Caroline decide to get a marriage license and have a quick elopement and get married. Caroline visits the gynaecologist. The doctor looks at the results and confirms Caroline's pregnancy, which shocks her. Caroline realizes the child is most likely Thomas's because the pregnancy is recent. The doctor notices Caroline's shock and questions her about it. Caroline confides in the doctor that the child may not be her husband's, but a man she was with on a one night stand the night Ridge broke up with her. Caroline questions whether she can get paternity results but the doctor states it's too early in the pregnancy to tell. Caroline realizes it's Thomas's child and is distraught. Caroline returns home to Ridge who insists on telling her some big news. Caroline asks if it can wait because it's really important, but Ridge insists. Ridge informs Caroline about the vasectomy he had done last year and he had been planning to get it reversed as a surprise. Turns out, the vasectomy cannot be undone, so he can't be the father to her baby. Caroline is devastated and Ridge feels empathetic. Ridge asks what she wanted to tell him. Caroline explains that on the night they broke up, a friend comforted her in her apartment. She admits to using some of Pam's pills she picked up, which she was meaning to return, mixed with some alcohol, which he had been drinking as well. Caroline admits that she fell asleep and woke up and was informed they slept together. Ridge is angry and asks whether he took advantage of her but Caroline insists otherwise. Ridge asks about this guy and Caroline reveals his name to be Thomas. Ridge asks if it's his son and Caroline confirms it to be the one. Ridge is angry and asks what Thomas is to her, a friend, more than a friend, and Caroline bursts out that he's the father of her baby. Ridge is furious and throws a vase. Caroline is crying and sorry and Ridge is heartbroken that his son would do this to him. Caroline and Ridge feel their relationship is over when Ridge suggests raising her baby as their own without telling Thomas. Caroline was indecisive at first but soon after agreed.

Also during this time, Caroline called Thomas insisting on seeing him but Thomas insisted it isn't a good time. Caroline rushed over to the Forrester Mansion and arrived at the door of Thomas's room and noticed Charlotte the intern under the covers in his bed. Charlotte apologized and left. Caroline upset didn't want to tell him. Ridge arrived at the Forrester Mansion in the middle of Thomas kissing Charlotte. Charlotte apologized and left. Ridge scolded Thomas for having relations with an intern even though Ridge has been with plenty of them. Thomas vented his resentment towards Ridge for never being there when he was a kid and punched Ridge. Ridge ordered the private jet to fly Thomas back to Paris and Caroline stood by him. Thomas unhappily went off to Paris. Thomas returned shortly after. Steffy convinced Ridge to give Thomas his job back as co-designer with Caroline. Thomas walks in on Caroline and Ridge's sonogram at the hospital. He claims he was there for a check up and happened to see them here.

Seducing Ivy

Ivy and Wyatt attend a Halloween party hosted by Pam and Charlie with some of the Forrester employees, Thomas Forrester tags along as well. Thomas begins showing interest in Ivy, causing Wyatt to become a little concern after Thomas belittled the Spencer family during a Forrester meeting. During the party, Wyatt steps outside after hearing his car was playfully vandalized by a coworker, leaving Ivy alone with Thomas. As Ivy goes outside to check on Wyatt, Thomas pulls her out of the way when a spotlight suddenly fell off the ceiling. Ivy is grateful for Thomas saving her; Wyatt starts becoming more jealous that Thomas is seemingly getting more involved in Ivy's life. While alone in an office room, Thomas began flirting with her, causing Ivy to become uncomfortable, but allows him to kiss her twice. Ivy stops him and says it can never happen again. Later on, Thomas makes a bet with his sister Steffy that he could get Ivy for himself, but Steffy believes that Ivy will remain committed to Wyatt and would cheat on Wyatt. However, when Wyatt and his mom Quinn have to go to San Francisco for the night for business, Ivy decides to spend the night at the Forrester mansion.

During the evening, a thunderstorm rolls into Los Angeles and Ivy is left alone in the mansion with Thomas. Thomas continues his flirtation towards Ivy who continues to tell him that she is committed to Wyatt. While in her bedroom, Thomas comes in and continues to hit on Ivy; Ivy succumbs to Thomas' charms and makes out wit him in her bed. Ivy feels complete guilt over what happened and is unable to tell Wyatt when he returns home the next morning, fearing she would lose him. However, Steffy overhears Thomas and Ivy talking about what happened that night. Steffy informs Wyatt who breaks up with Ivy. Ivy is angry at Steffy and confronts her near an electrical panel. Ivy grabs Steffy's arm causing Steffy to struggle and accidentally push her into the electrical panel. Thomas arrives at the hospital concerned about Ivy. The doctor informs Steffy, Liam, Wyatt, and Thomas that Ivy survived the electrocution but could still suffer brain damage. Ivy leaves for Australia shortly afterwards.

Douglas' Birth

While Ridge is away on business, Thomas gives Caroline a genuine heartfelt apology and wishes her and Ridge the best. Caroline forgives Thomas and Thomas claims he's trying to change. Caroline starts having contractions so Thomas takes her to the hospital. The doctor informs Caroline that it's just contractions and that she's not going into labor. Caroline asks what could have caused the premature contractions. The doctor suggests it could have resulted from the use of drugs or alcohol even at he earliest stages of the pregnancy which worries Caroline. The doctor tells her that her baby boy looks healthy. Caroline is excited to find out the gender and Thomas is happy for her. Caroline gives birth to Douglas Forrester in the Forrester Mansion.

Discovering The Truth about Douglas

Ridge told Thomas the truth that he is the biological father of Douglas Forrester and then he later tricked Pam and took off with his son making Caroline panic. Caroline found them and Thomas stated that he will keep quite if he can be a part of his son's life and Caroline agreed.

Thomas asks Ridge and Caroline to spend some time with his son. Ridge dislikes Thomas calling Douglas his son and mandates him to go to Shanghai for five years to gain business experience. Thomas agrees and Caroline supports Ridge. That night, Caroline grabs something from the kitchen in The Forrester Mansion, when Thomas wonders into the kitchen himself surprising her and she asks why he is there. Thomas explains that he was at the airport and decided he couldn't leave for five years and miss out on Douglas's life. Ridge enters the kitchen wondering what Thomas is doing back. Thomas demands that he start having a stake in his son's life under his rules which Ridge reluctantly agrees to.

Family Dynamics

After the revelation had unraveled, Caroline and Ridge were distant for a period. After seeing his wife enjoying time with baby Douglas and Thomas, Ridge decided to let her be free with her new family. A night at the Forrester Mansion lead to Ridge telling Caroline how he feels this should be, and that they should end their marriage. While upset, Caroline accepted what has happened, and decided to end their marriage. They took off their rings, and filed for divorce. To have some time away from it all, and to show her parents, their grandson, Caroline took some time off to visit them in New York.

After a few months away, Caroline decided to return to L.A. and back to her life - but with a motive. Thomas, who had started dating Sasha Thompson, received a surprise visit from Caroline and Douglas. Thomas overjoyed to see both of them, though Sasha felt uncomfortable as she felt she was drawing a verge between a family. After Caroline paid Thomas another visit at his loft, Sasha felt this was wrong and ended it with Thomas. Shortly thereafter, visiting Thomas again, Caroline told him that she has had a long time to think - and wants her family to be united - her, Douglas, and Thomas. Caroline an Thomas reunited and left for New York together with Douglas to visit Caroline's moms. Caroline broke up with Thomas while visiting her parents in New York, resulting in Thomas returning to L.A.

Quinn convinces Eric to make Ridge co-CEO along with Steffy. Liam is opposed to it but Eric convinces Steffy that it's what's best for the company. Meanwhile, Thomas and Rick are both upset Eric didn't choose either of them. Thomas gets jealous of Steffy being handed over the position. Steffy explains that Thomas hasn't been in L.A. because he was in New York with Caroline. Thomas explains he was trying to raise a family with Caroline which didn't work out, resulting in his return.

Meeting Sally

Thomas and Zende meet up at Al Giardino to discuss their disgust with the company. Sally Spectra II, the previously unknown grandniece of the infamous, Sally Spectra, had been overhearing, unbeknownst to them. Once Zende leaves, Sally calls out to Thomas saying he could do with someone to talk to as there is obviously something on his mind. Thomas openly discusses the matter at hand over a drink, to an inquisitive Sally. She asks him where he works, and he reveals the company name, which Sally immediately recognized. After receiving a call from father Ridge, telling him to report to the office as soon as possible, Thomas left, but not before catching Sally's name. He asks her surname, but she says "it's not relevant". The bartender then makes a check for her purchases, and asks who to make it out to. Sally replies, "Spectra. Sally Spectra."

Thomas couldn't help but laugh when Sally started a food fight with Steffy; when Sally thought Thomas was insulting her designs, he silenced her with a kiss. At the wedding of his cousin, Zende Forrester Dominguez, Thomas spotted the uninvited Sally dressed as a caterer and gently warned her to leave, but later Thomas was amused to see a video on social media showing Steffy shoving Sally's face into a cake. Thomas comforted Sally when she received an unusually vicious review of Spectra's comeback line.

Despite his disagreements with Steffy at work, Thomas agreed to attend her wedding to Liam in Australia; Thomas told Sally he would have taken her as his date if she were heading Down Under. Thomas was surprised when Sally showed up at his hotel room and more surprised when Steffy zip-lined into her ceremony. After Sally's squabble with Steffy ended with Sally falling into Manly Harbour, Thomas jumped in after her and kissed her. Back home, Thomas told Sally that he hoped Sydney was just the beginning.

Thomas couldn't understand it when Sally dumped him for not telling her he had a son with Caroline, yet proudly attended Spectra's showing until he saw Forrester designs sashaying down their runway. Thomas agreed with Steffy that Sally should be prosecuted, but couldn't dismiss his feelings for Sally, even speaking up for Sally at her preliminary hearing. When Thomas discovered that Bill had engineered Sally's horrible review so he could buy Spectra and replace it with a skyscraper, Thomas invested $100,000 in Spectra, which got him fired by Ridge; Thomas and Sally affirmed their feelings for each other and finally made love. Thomas felt conflicted when Eric and Steffy asked him to return to Forrester, but settled on defecting to Spectra and becoming its lead designer. Thomas assured a dubious Steffy that Sally wasn't simply using him to revitalize Spectra.

Caroline's "Illness" and Leaving LA

Thomas created a new logo for Spectra and got a taste of Sally's struggles when he had trouble creating buzz around Spectra's classier image. Thomas learned Forrester was mounting a fashion show focusing on swimwear in Monte Carlo and arranged for Spectra to get in on it, turning the event into a fashion duel. Thomas whipped up a swimsuit line with Sally and had to reassure her when Caroline returned to town with Douglas. Thomas railed against Bill's demand that Thomas take Caroline back, but reeled after he learned from Bill that Caroline was dying. Thomas flew to Monte Carlo with Sally yet told Caroline he wanted to spend her last days with her and their son. After several weeks in New York City, Thomas returned to L.A. the moment he heard that Spectra had burned to the ground and Sally had suffered minor smoke inhalation; Thomas expressed his love for Sally but said he still needed to be with Caroline and Douglas.

Caroline eventually confessed the truth to Thomas, which lead to their brief return to L.A. on the heels of Bill's shooting - both of which as prime suspects. Infuriated by her uncle's actions which lead to her relationship's demise, Caroline visits him in hospital, strangles him, and attempts to unplug his life support device. Thomas, meanwhile, apologises to Sally, resulting in a reconciliation and all moving back to New York. Sally later returns to L.A. with the news of Thomas' inability to stay away from Caroline, the mother of his child.

Caroline's Death and Return to LA

In March of 2019, both Taylor and Bill were called by Eric, revealing Thomas' news of Caroline's sudden death, due to a blood clot. With nothing left for them in New York, Thomas and Douglas move back to L.A. in severe grief, but not without comfort from their family members.

During a moment of consolation with Sally, Thomas revealed that he was not romantically involved with Caroline whilst in New York, and was simply co-parenting Douglas. This came to a big surprise as Thomas had obviously lead on Sally in his previous relationship, and held no apparent reason for leaving her as he was not involved with anybody else. Furthermore, after discussing the support in which Hope has provided to himself and Douglas after Caroline's death, Thomas revealed that he has never appeared to have overcome his feelings for Hope; he only respected her relationship with Liam during the respective periods. Sally gave Thomas a hug, which was witnessed by her partner, Wyatt Spencer, as he entered the room. Wyatt took it that Thomas was moving in on Sally and attempting to rekindle their romance, and while he later had words with Sally regarding this, forgave her after assessing her regret.

However, after discussing this with his mother, Quinn, he found out that Sally was hiding text messages from Wyatt regarding Thomas' feelings for Hope. Quinn had stern words with Sally and expressed her desire to end their relationship. Wyatt initially disregarded these allegations, but Sally then confirmed them to be true. A furious Wyatt then broke up with Sally, and moved on with his high school sweetheart, and Hope's recently-revealed cousin, Flo Fulton.

Romancing, Stalking, and Obsessing Over Hope

Hope and Douglas easily connected and bonded over their losses, with Hope believing that her daughter, Beth Spencer, was stillborn. Thomas admired this relationship, as did many of his family members; particularly, Ridge and Brooke. After being reminded of his past with Hope, Thomas realised that he should take advantage of this, in addition to witnessing a slow marriage breakdown with Liam. Thomas made his feelings clear to Hope on many occasions and went so far as to kiss her, but was swiftly rejected due to her commitment. Thomas would often speak to Hope regarding her pain over the loss of Beth, and that she needs to move forward in her life.

As the bond between Hope and Douglas grew, the decision to annul Hope and Liam's marriage was made, as it was damaged beyond repair. As this happened at the Logan Mansion, Thomas hid upstairs. Just before Hope signed the paperwork, Xander Avant barged into the mansion and claimed to hold information that would stop their annulment. Hope and Liam listened, but Xander then confused them by quickly leaving after hearing his car alarm sounding. After turning the alarm off, Xander began to walk back into the mansion, but was intercepted by Thomas. Xander told Thomas to get out of his way, but Thomas then reminded him that he was his boss at Forrester Creations, and that he would suffer consequences if he continued to interrupted their annulment. Xander accidentally stated that if Flo had told Hope some information, then this would not be happening. An overly-curious Thomas proceeded to drive to the Forrester Mansion and aggressively interrogate Flo on what this information was, who revealed all regarding Phoebe Forrester II's true identity as Beth Spencer, and that Beth was stolen by Reese Buckingham and sold to Thomas' sister, Steffy, as an adoption.

Ringleader of the Secret Squad and Emma's Death

Thomas was shocked to find out this information, and wanted to tell Hope about it as soon as possible at first until he realized that he and Douglas would lose Hope to Liam again. However, he envisioned this as causing a barrier towards his plan of courtship, so he planned to withhold the information for as long as possible. Surprised to learn that Zoe Buckingham and Shauna Fulton, in addition to Flo and Zoe, also knew of this secret, Thomas took it upon himself to control the secrecy of this information with an iron fist, threatening the wellbeing of everybody involved if they chose to reveal it. This quickly escalated when Emma Barber, an intern at Forrester Creations and the niece of Justin Barber, overheard a discussion between Zoe and Xander regarding the secret. Emma was floored by this information, and after chastising Zoe and Xander for not teling Hope the truth, she proceeded to search for Hope, with the intent of telling her about it. After being told about what Emma had heard, Thomas also rushed to find Hope. He asked Pam, who told him that not only did she believe she was in the CEO Office, but that Emma also was searching for her. Emma and Thomas ran into each other inside the office, where Thomas threatened Emma's wellbeing if the secret was revealed. Emma ignored this, chastised Thomas and accused him of stalking Hope, and went to her car after Pam interrupted them, to drive to Hope's guest house at the Logan Mansion, where she figured Hope would be. Thomas was in close pursuit.

It was very dark and Emma was having trouble seeing where she was going whilst driving up a cliffside part of Mulholland Drive. Emma was becoming agitated by a vehicle tailgating her. She got her phone out and sent a text message to Hope, stating that she was on her way to tell her something but then changed her mind. While Emma was distracted, the vehicle gained closer, and bumped the rear end of the car. Emma lost control and drove off the cliffside, into the ravine beneath. The driver of the tailgating vehicle - Thomas - got out of the car and looked on in hatred as Emma died at the scene from her injuries.

Whilst meeting with Brooke to discuss Thomas' dangerous obsession with Hope, Bill received a call from Justin, whom was devastated to reveal that Emma had died in a car accident. Bill was shocked, as was Brooke when Bill told her. Thomas drove back to Forrester Creations and revealed to Xander, Zoe, and Flo, that Emma was dead. All were shocked, but Xander was swift to conclude that Thomas was at fault. Thomas did not deny this, but told Xander that if he was not careful about what he said, that he would be next. After discussing amongst themselves, they decided not to reveal the truth for now. A memorial service for Emma was held a few days later.

Drugging Liam and persuading Hope to marry him

Thomas contacted an old friend, Vincent Walker, asking him to come to his house and deliver something. Vincent handed over, by Thomas' request, a sample of drugs to lower one's inhibitions. It was not initially known about what Thomas' intent with these drugs were, but at Steffy and Liam's Fourth Of July party at their house, Thomas spiked Liam's beer with them after noticing him trying to speak to Hope after their annulment. After consuming the spiked drink, Liam began to behave erratically. He badgered Hope to dance with him on many occasions, asked that she "forget about losing Beth", and reportedly performed a series of handstands on the beach. Thomas pretended to scold Liam for his behavior, but ended up leaving and going home with Hope, who could no longer handle it. Later that night, when resting on his bed, Steffy entered his room and seduced Liam, not that he put up much resistance because of the drugs Thomas slipped him.

Liam woke up the next morning feeling hung over, and then shocked to hear of his behavior and his lack of memory around it. He took it upon himself to go to Hope's house and not only apologize to her, but explain that he regretfully slept with Steffy after expressing his disappointment at Hope annulling their marriage. Hope was mortified to hear of these actions and Liam felt ashamed, before Thomas and Hope both ordered him out of the cabin.

For a long period of time, it has been Thomas' mission to make Hope his wife. There had been many occasions where Thomas had proposed to Hope himself but was turned down each time. Thomas believed that Douglas would be the key to a marriage at this point in time, so Thomas coached Douglas into asking Hope to marry him, and be his new "mommy". After Douglas proposed, Thomas pretended to be shocked, but Hope told Douglas she would speak to his father before making a decision. Hope reluctantly agreed to marry Thomas with the near-sole intent of it pleasing Douglas, believing that Liam had moved on with his life.

Hope would often vocalize to Thomas that holding Phoebe would still remind her of Beth; particularly, recalling a moment at the Fourth Of July party where she mistakenly called Phoebe "Beth" while holding her. Thomas felt agitated by this and decided to take action to both secure his engagement to Hope and to make her feel the need to wed sooner. Whilst Douglas was asleep in his bed, Thomas set up a mini projector with a holographic image of a ghost, to shine against Douglas' wall, on a timer to turn on after a set amount of seconds and turn off shortly after. Thomas woke Douglas up and hid in the bathroom, where he heard Douglas scream and call for Hope. Thomas and Hope reassured Douglas that it was a nightmare, to which he accepted. Hope offered to stay with him overnight, but Douglas told her that she should be with Thomas, and shortly after went back to sleep. Thomas and Hope discussed this incident and decided to marry in two days' time, for Douglas' sake after Thomas made it clear that this would be the only thing that would help Douglas. Hope broke the news to her friends and family the next day that they would be marrying tomorrow, much to everyone's shock. Liam and Brooke tried their hardest to convince Hope against making a bad decision and marrying Thomas, but after explaining Douglas' scare, Hope told them that it was for the best.

The next day in July 2019, it was their wedding day, all invitees attended, except for Flo and Zoe, who were at Forrester Creations, discussing further actions of telling Hope the truth about her daughter. Flo had been heavily drinking and was visibly drunk, and decided that she should attend her cousin's wedding. Zoe advised strictly against this and managed to stall Flo for some time. Hope spent a long period of time preparing, much to Thomas' anxiety, and Liam's anticipation, who took this opportunity to tell Thomas that Hope would always love him. Both Brooke and Steffy, Hope's bridesmaid, spent a long time with Hope to attempt to convince her one last time not to marry Thomas, in which Hope responded once more that it was in everybody's interests. Hope eventually came to the altar, to which Carter Walton officiated the ceremony. At the time in which Carter requested anybody against the union to speak, Phoebe called "mama" to what appeared to be Hope, and crawled towards her. This caused emotions to rise for a short while, but the ceremony continued and Hope and Thomas officially were married.

By the time that Flo had arrived at the ceremony after Zoe stalled her and had called Thomas to warn him of her intentions, the marriage had been officiated and the reception had begun. Towards the end of the reception, Thomas pulled Flo aside and asked her to leave, to which Flo responded in anger about how wrong the marriage was, and that if Hope knew the secret, that it would all change. Thomas threatened Flo that the same thing that happened to Emma would happen to her if she didn't keep her mouth shut, and that the secret must be kept until the day she dies. This was overheard by Liam, confused at what Flo and Thomas have to do with one another, and very curious about the secret and its impact upon the marriage, he continued eavesdropping so that he could find out what was going on between them.

The Revelation of Phoebe being Beth

Liam expresses his confusion about what he had heard to Steffy, who reassured him that it was likely nothing important but remained confused about how Thomas and Flo know each other. Liam then met with Wyatt at Bikini Bar to discuss this further, and asked Wyatt if he knows anything, to which he stated that he did not. Liam urged Wyatt to dig into Flo and try to find out. During a discussion with Flo, after she had discussed her issues regarding Thomas' increasingly controlling behaviour around her and Hope, she told Wyatt that she wants to do things in her life like getting married and having children; the latter of which got Wyatt concerned. He asked Flo about this, which immediately made her uncomfortable and she tried to explain that Phoebe "doesn't count". Wyatt listened, but still remained skeptical, so he told Liam that this may be involved in the secret.

Liam read over Phoebe's birth certificate and called the hospital in which it was stated that Flo gave birth at. After numerous attempts at convincing administrative staff to divulge the information, Liam spoke to the doctor listed on the certificate, who stated that not only did she not know of Flo's name, but that there has been no record of it at the hospital. Liam relayed this information on to Steffy and to Wyatt, who both reassured Liam that it could be a simple clerical error. This did not convince Liam to let it go, which arose concern for everybody involved.

The morning after Thomas and Hope's unsuccessful wedding night, Thomas received a phone call from Flo, further expressing her disgust towards the marriage. Thomas reiterated what he had said, that Hope can never know that Phoebe is Beth. Little did he know, that Douglas overheard every word of this conversation, and asked his father about it. Thomas denied everything and told his son that he misheard, but Douglas knew what he had heard and sensed his father lying. Thomas told Douglas that he is not allowed to mention Beth or Phoebe's names again, before sending him to stay with Steffy and Liam while he and Hope go to their honeymoon destination not far away. At their house, Thomas told this to Douglas again as a reminder, which Liam watched in concern. Hope and Thomas stayed at the house for some time, to which while Thomas was outside of the room with Steffy, Douglas listened into a conversation between Liam and Hope about Beth. After Liam told Hope that Beth is no longer with them and that she needs to try and move forward, Douglas told them that Beth is indeed alive. This upset Hope and caused her to leave the room and wait in the car to calm down, before Liam tried to make sure that Douglas understands that Beth had passed away. Douglas remained adamant that Beth was alive, but Thomas then re-entered the room and left to go to the honeymoon destination. Liam told Steffy about what Douglas had said, and together they tried to explain to him further that Beth passed away. Douglas tried to understand this, but stated that he had heard from his father that Beth was alive. Steffy called Thomas in private to tell him of what has happened. Thomas initially instructed her to send him to time-out, but hung up after everything he said was divulged.

When Steffy went out of the house, Liam spoke to Douglas again to try and ascertain how he heard this information and what he may be thinking. Douglas tried again to explain that Beth was alive, before telling Liam he can show him where she is. Liam denied this, and Douglas went away to Kelly and Phoebe's room, to watch Phoebe. Liam followed him in there and asked if he was okay, before Douglas told Liam that Phoebe was Beth. Liam initially denied this entirely, but later accepted that this was true after sensing the truth in Douglas. Steffy later came home to a highly emotional Liam, embracing his believed-dead daughter. After explaining what Douglas had said to Steffy, she denied this once again.

Liam then decided to visit Flo and ask her to explain everything that he had heard. When he had arrived, Flo was about to reveal the secret to a concerned Wyatt, but Liam answered all of the questions before she got a chance to explain. Flo confirmed the truth to a blindsided and flabbergasted Wyatt, and a not-so-much Liam. Flo tried to rationalise everything but fell on deaf ears, but to assist, decided to call Thomas to ascertain his, or Hope's, location, by placing him on speaker for Liam and Wyatt to hear. Thomas had arrived at Forrester Creations to take Hope to her next honeymoon destination - an undisclosed location, via helicopter, although the pilot was experiencing severe delays in the San Diego area. Thomas disclosed his location to Flo and spoke to her in a demeaning and intimidating manner, giving both Liam and Wyatt enough proof of how she claimed to be treated by him, and Hope's whereabouts.

Liam drove to Forrester Creations when Hope had just locked herself in the CEO Office to calm down and realise that she does not need to go in the helicopter with Thomas if she feels uncomfortable to. When Hope let Liam into the room, he locked the door to prevent Thomas from entering, and explained everything to Hope - particularly, how Thomas hid it from her for months on end and used it as leverage for manipulation. Hearing Liam explain this, Thomas banged on the door and ordered Hope not to listen to him, before eventually barging his way into the room, punching Liam, and dragging Hope through an internal exit towards the roof. Liam closely followed.

Thomas stopped in a courtyard area, one floor away from the rooftop. He attempted to talk Hope down and tell her that none of what Liam said was true, but became visibly agitated in the process. Liam arrived at the scene and attacked Thomas. Hope demanded that Liam let go, but Thomas then ran up a staircase to the rooftop. Hope and Liam followed, before Liam tackled Thomas, held him in headlock, and told him to tell Hope everything about Beth. Hope asked Thomas if the information was true, but he just glared at her in confirmation. Liam let go of Thomas, who then ran off down the stairs. Hope and Liam shared a moment of joy on the rooftop.

The Aftermath of the Beth Secret

Liam took Hope to meet their daughter, Beth, at Steffy's house, to where they shared their first official moment as mother and daughter, and with Liam as a family. Liam and Hope kissed. Steffy arrived home shortly after and was confused as to what was happening. She felt uncomfortable with the position that Hope was holding "Phoebe" in and told her to stop, but she refused. She and Liam then emotionally explained the entire story of what had happened, and confirmed that Douglas' claims were true, to a horrified Steffy. Hope then explained that Phoebe does not exist and therefore Beth should be returned to her, as she is her mother. Steffy did not condone to this, but after Brooke and Ridge had been called over to support their respective children, Steffy reluctantly returned Beth to Hope, before Liam and Hope left to go to their cabin. Steffy broke down in tears.

Brooke had set up baby equipment throughout the cabin, to Hope and Liam's joy. They spent their first evening together as a family, where Hope confessed to Liam that she never stopped loving him. Liam told Hope that the feelings were mutual, and they reunited, despite Hope's marriage to Thomas. Douglas was one of the first visitors to the cabin, to whom Hope and Liam expressed their indescribable gratitude, and agreed to take care of as if he were their child, as planned with Hope and Thomas. Douglas was very grateful of this. The following day, Hope and Liam went to the Logan Mansion to introduce Eric, Quinn, Donna and Katie to Beth, where she was greeted with open arms. Much discussion arose regarding the whereabouts of Flo and Thomas; Flo was seeking refuge with her mother in an apartment, and Thomas was crashing at Vincent's house. Ridge had promptly contacted Interpol and ordered Reese Buckingham to be arrested for his crimes, to which he was a few days later. Local police were contacted shortly after and arrested Flo.

Whilst at Vincent's apartment, Thomas receives a call from Hope, who expresses her disgust toward Thomas and informs him that their marriage, and their remote involvement, is over. Thomas did not take this well, continually uttering the vow "'til death do us part". At his request, Amelia brings Douglas to his father for a visit. Thomas is very resentful towards his son, with the feeling being mutual as Douglas understands wrong from right. Douglas is pressured by his father to tell Thomas where Hope has gone. Douglas said that Hope had gone to Steffy's house to pick up Beth's belongings. Thomas gets there, scaring Hope, and wanting to reunite the marriage. Hope does not want to be married to him at all. Hope goes out the back door and Thomas then follows her to the back patio. Thomas and Hope get into a little physical fight before Brooke begs them to stop. Ridge arrives and stands next to his son. Brooke is standing in the middle as she pushes Thomas off the cliff.

Rebuilding His Life and Hospitalization

Months after his road trip to rebuild his life, Thomas slowly rebuilds his relationships with Ridge, Steffy, Hope and Douglas. But in November, when Steffy started dating John Finn Finnegan, a doctor who helps Steffy after she has a motorcycle accident and later help her getting into rehab for her pill addiction. Thomas warns Finn about Liam's waffling ways between Steffy and Hope and he will keep get in between them. After Liam learns from Finn, what Thomas has been saying about him, he left to go confront Thomas about his obsession with Hope and Thomas compares him to his father. After Liam left, Thomas felt dizzy and he slipped and hit his head on the edge of the table. Weeks later Thomas receives a Hope mannequin and after get the prop into his apartment, Thomas starts to hallucinate the mannequin talked to him as a real person. After reunite with Douglas, he, Hope and Douglas were having a family dinner at Thomas's apartment, where the mannequin is. After receiving a call from Finn about Thomas, Hope went to his apartment, where Thomas was suffering a mental break down, couldn't tell between the real Hope and the fake Hope, after Hope got him to calm down, Thomas collapsed at his apartment, Hope quickly called 911 and Finn to let him know what had happened. Finn later arrived at Thomas apartment to access Thomas's condition and Hope also told him that Thomas had been hallucinating. Thomas was rushed to the hospital where they ran tests on him and Finn called Steffy to tell her that Thomas is in the hospital and bring Ridge with her. After Ridge and Steffy arrived they've learned that Thomas was suffering from brain trauma and they can visit him for the few moments. Moments later Ridge and Steffy learns that Thomas is hemorrhaging from inside his head and losing a lot of blood. He also having seizures. Thomas need to have surgery to need to stop the bleeding on his brain, before it causes severe and permanent damage. Hope and Liam arrived at the hospital to find out that Thomas needs to have surgery to stop the bleeding in his brain. The operation is successful. Ridge and Brooke invite Thomas to recover in his home. Liam Spencer, Hope's husband isn't thrilled about it.

Revealing Vinny's scheme and being held hostage by Justin

Thomas learned that his sister might be pregnant with Hope Logan's husband Liam Spencer. Liam saw Thomas kissing a mannequin, thought it was Hope and then had sex with Steffy. The DNA test confirmed that Liam is the father. Thomas tells the story to his friend Vincent Walker and he noticed that something is off. One day he and Steffy's partner Finn Finnegan demand answers about the paternity test from him. After a fight Vinny reveals that he switched the samples because he wanted Thomas to have a chance with Hope, but in fact Finn is the father and not Hope's husband. Thomas was furious that his friend would manipulate his sister's life like this and he blocked his number.

One day Vinnie is found dead. Thomas is devastated and wants the person that hit him with the car and left for death to be caught. He learns it was Liam Spencer and that Bill Spencer Jr. was also involved. Thomas is angry with Liam, but one day, after unblocking Vinnie's number he received a video massage from him where Vinnie tells Thomas that he is going to sacrifice his life so he can have Hope. Vinnie jumped in front of Liam's car on purpose. For a moment Thomas is torn and doesn't know if he should delete the video or not, but he decides to go to Liam's and Bill's attorney Justin Barber to show him the evidence. Surprisingly Justin hits Thomas and while the Forrester is unconscious Barber locked him in a cage in the basement of Spencer Publications. Thomas pleads with Justin, but he reveals that he can't set him free because he wants Bill and Liam to be in jail so he could take over the company. Thomas's father Ridge Forrester and others notice that Thomas is missing and they worry about him. Hope Logan decides to look for him and while she was looking for him in Spencer Publication's she noticed that Justin has Thomas's phone. Justin finds an excuse, but Hope is suspicious and follows Justin to the basement. Hope sets Thomas free and the scheme is revealed. Liam and Bill are set free while Justin is banished from the company by his former best friend Bill.

Crush on Paris

Thomas starts to be interested in Paris Buckingham, Zende's girlfriend. One day, when he hears that Paris is searching for an apartment he offers her his current place. He said that he will soon be moving out as he found a house that he wants to buy. Paris came to see the place when Thomas received a call that his dream house can't be purchased, but he assured Paris that they can be roommates. Zende accepted his girlfriend living with Thomas not knowing what he will do next. One evening Thomas has prepared a romantic dinner for him and Paris and tried to convince that they should start dating, but Paris shut him down and reminded Thomas that she is seeing his cousin. Thomas stopped pursuing Paris, but they remained roommates.

Taylor's return

Hope is pleasantly surprised when his mother Taylor Hayes shows up in LA. She tells him that his son Douglas Forrester should be living with him and not the Logans, but Thomas replies that he still has to work on himself. As time goes by and Thomas's witnesses his parents embracing he "joins forces" with his sister Steffy Forrester and starts encouraging his father Ridge Forrester to leave Brooke Logan Forrester and go back to his mother. One evening when Thomas, Douglas, Steffy and Ridge are together at the Spencer-Forrester cliff house Douglas confesses that he saw grandma Brooke kissing Santa and soon he was able to confirm that Santa is Hope's father, Deacon Sharpe. Thomas tells Steffy about Brooke kissing Deacon and they both are happy that this could possibly lead to their parents' reunion.

Keeping Sheila's Secret

Sheila goes over to Steffy's one day to see Finn and Hayes but no one is there but Thomas. After several snarky remarks made by Sheila, Thomas becomes suspicious of her about Brooke. After asking her for a while what she is hiding about Brooke, Sheila tells Thomas that she switched the label on the champagne bottle that Brooke received on New Year's and she is responsible for Brooke getting drunk and that she was punishing her because she had told her that she was going to make sure that Sheila is not in Finn, Steffy, & the kids' lives. Thomas ends up keeping Sheila's secret even after having a conversation with his father, Ridge about how he is feeling about Brooke & knowing that he is still in love with her but like Steffy, he wants his parents back together so he stays quiet.

After overhearing him on the phone a couple of times, Steffy becomes very suspicious of Thomas & what he is hiding. After asking him about it and him denying that there was anything wrong, she follows him and ends up seeing him in an alley in an intense conversation with none other, than Sheila.

The next time she overhears him on the phone and finds out what secret that Thomas had been keeping with Sheila, she calls Sheila and has her to meet at the restaurant where Deacon works. Things start getting heated and Sheila tries to get away from her and goes into the alley of the restaurant. They really get into it at this point with Sheila even shoving her up against a trash bin. Sheila is just about to shoot Steffy but Finn arrives just in time to jump in front of her and Sheila ends up shooting and "killing" her own son. Then after he "passes" away, she shoots Steffy before she can complete her call to 911. While all of this is going on, Ridge is talking to Taylor and Thomas about how crazy Sheila still is, making Thomas worry. Then Ridge gets a call from Deacon who found Steffy and Finn and breaks the news to him that they were shot and that Finn is "dead". Ridge tells Taylor and Thomas and they rush to the hospital to be by Steffy's side and then they see Bridget there and she tells them that she's in critical condition and has been shot in the neck. They tell her they love her and beg her to fight. After a couple of days, Thomas and the rest of the family were really happy when Steffy opened her eyes and spoke to them, but they soon discovered that Steffy has amnesia and doesn't even remember Finn. Steffy believed that she's still married to Liam. After Steffy left the hospital and came back home, Sheila drops by hoping to see her grandson. At the end of her visit, Steffy starts remembering more about the night she got shot. Sheila has been jailed for shooting her and Finn and before that she confessed that she changed labels on Brooke's champagne and that Thomas knew about it. When Ridge and Taylor confronted Thomas about it and he was horrified because he felt responsible for the shooting. He said that he kept Sheila's secret because he wanted his parents to have some more time together, but Ridge didn't accept it as a good excuse. Taylor and Ridge decided to keep their sons involvement a secret in order to protect him.

Finn is alive and a war with Brooke

When Thomas found out that Finn is really alive as his mother Li Finnegan secretly took him from the hospital and fought for his life he was ecstatic. When he and Steffy found out their parents shared a kiss in Monaco one day after Steffy and Finn's reunion they saw a new light at the tunnel. Ridge was officially back living with his wife Brooke, but in Thomas's mind his parents should reunite. Thomas decided that he wants his son Douglas Forrester back in his care full time. He broke the agreement he had with Hope and instead of Douglas spending one night at the Forrester Mansion he ended up being there for many days. Hope, Liam and Brooke naturally didn't like it. When Hope visited Douglas she saw how happy he was. During Hope's visit Thomas revealed to Brooke's daughter that he is a "one woman man" and she is the one. Hope didn't answer and when she was back at home she told her husband with tears in her eyes that she misses Douglas, but he is happy with Thomas. Both Liam and Brooke confronted Thomas on different occasions and he told them that they shouldn't try to interfere. When Brooke saw that Thomas is holding a knife which he was using to cut apples she got paranoid. Thomas said that he is always using a knife to cut apples, but Brooke was adamant that he shouldn't be using a knife with Douglas around. The two argued. Brooke didn't believe that Thomas really changed and he called her an over-sexualized gold-digger. Thomas's step mother said that if she will have to then she will call Child Protective Service on him. Thomas was annoyed that Brooke still questions his sanity and that she didn't let go of his past. He complained about it to his family and they all thought that Brooke is in the wrong where Thomas is concerned. Steffy pointed out how dedicated Thomas is to his fatherhood to the point he isn't even dating. Next day the CPS does in fact come to Eric's mansion seeking for Douglas and Thomas. They asked Douglas if he is happy living with his dad. Douglas said that he is happy with his father. Ridge was furious and he wanted to know who reported his son. When CPS left Thomas told his father that one guy that worked for them at FC works for CPS now and he will be able to tell them who called CPS.

Thomas manipulating Brooke and Ridge's marriage

When Thomas's old colleague arrived he asked him to play the recording of the CPS call to him and his dad. The man was scared and begged the two Forrester men to not reveal to anyone that they heard it or he might lose his job. It was Brooke's voice on the recording. Ridge was heartbroken and Thomas started pushing for Ridge to leave Brooke even more intensive. Ridge went to talk to Brooke in hopes that she will tell the truth to him, but she denies calling the CPS on his son. Ridge was disappointed and he decided to travel to Aspen where Thomas's mother and sister were staying. Ridge begged Taylor Hayes to take him back and she agreed after he promised that he wants to be with her forever and that he finally understood what he needs. When Thomas found out that his parents reunited he said it to Eric Forrester and Donna Logan who were not convinced that Ridge and Brooke's love story is over. Donna and Thomas were having an argument about it. Brooke went to Aspen to ask Ridge what is going on where he informed her that he is back with Taylor. He didn't tell her why he is leaving and her pleading didn't work. Both of them had no idea that Thomas used a voice changing application to call the CPS by using Brooke's voice. Thomas was very proud of himself and happy what his scheme has worked and his parents are back together. Steffy, Taylor and Ridge called Thomas on the phone. Steffy was still angry with Donna for defending her sister because everything that Brooke has done and she expressed it to her brother. Thomas's sister also told him that she will leave their parents in Aspen to give them some time alone. Thomas complimented his father for leaving the pain behind and for putting his trust in the family he can really have faith in. During a more private phone conversation, Thomas asked Ridge if Brooke confessed that she called CPS on him and tried to separate him from his son. Ridge replied that Brooke denied making the call. Thomas thanked his father for reuniting their family and for sticking up for him and the relationship, he has with Douglas. Thomas added that he needs to forget about Brooke and focus on Taylor. Thomas started to fantasize about him and Hope kissing when he was working at Forrester Creations. When his parents came back from Aspen he and Steffy welcomed them back home. When Thomas looked at his parents he continued to think about his role in bringing them together by setting up Brooke, as he has done since he set Brooke up. His son found out that his father framed Brooke and Thomas convinced him to stay quiet about it for the good of his family. Ridge proposed to Taylor and annulled his marriage to Brooke. On the day of the wedding Douglas confessed what he knows to Steffy and she revealed it to her mother. Taylor was shocked, but she went along with the lie and wanted to marry Ridge before telling him about the CPS scheme. Steffy realized that her mother doesn't want to say the truth so she stopped the wedding and told her father everything because she claimed that she didn't want her parents marriage to start on a lie. Ridge was livid and went to talk to Brooke. Thomas was angry with his sister for ruining their parents big day. Soon Thomas's has been fired from Forrester creations. Hope, horrified by the fact that Thomas again traumatized their son to manipulate people in his life, took Douglas back home and allowed Thomas to have just supervised visits with him. Meanwhile Taylor and Brooke decides to become friends and they made a pact to put their friendship before their feelings for Ridge. Thomas tried to come back to FC and design for hope for the future, but the Logan woman rejected his idea. The young Forrester decided to file for primary custody of Douglas. The idea was theta Douglas will choose where he wants to be and surprisingly for everyone, Douglas choose to be with Steffy and Finn to not hurt any of his parents feelings. Thomas thought that this means that he will be able to see Douglas whenever he wants because he will be staying at his own sister's home however Steffy set boundaries which irritated Thomas.

Back in family's good graces, Hope's attraction to Thomas and RJ is back in LA

Taylor, saddened by the fact that her children are at odds, convinced Thomas and Steffy to make peace. Steffy decided to give he brother another chance. Hope's line wasn't doing good without Thomas as the designer so Steffy told the Logan woman that either her brother comes back or she will have to drop her line. Hope was hesitant. Hope's husband begged her to not take Thomas back to work. Logan agreed, but after talking to Thomas and Steffy once more she changed her mind. Douglas asked to come back to Hope and Liam's home. Hope was really happy about it. Douglas told his adoptive mother that he wishes that he lives with both her and Thomas. Liam was devastated when he heard that Thomas is back working with his wife, but Hope told him that she can't disappoint people who work for her as well as the fans. Liam ultimately accepted Hope's choice. Brooke, Hope's mother, told her daughter that she is happy that she isn't like her and she doesn't like bad boys. Hope was stunned by her mother's comparison to her. Later, when Hope was modelling a dress, she accidentally fell from the stand right into Thomas's lap. At that moment Liam came in and told Thomas that he has to take his hands off of his wife. Hope and Thomas explained to the angry Spencer man that it was an accident. Later on Hope started to fantasize about Thomas. Hope felt bad about it and she organized a romantic evening for her and Liam. While making love to her husband, for a brief moment Hope was horrified to see Thomas instead of Liam. Brooke noticed that her daughter is acting differently when after she misread a situation between her and Ridge she had a meltdown and started screaming at her, reminding her of the pact she and Taylor had. Brooke asked her daughter if she developed feelings for Thomas, but Hope said that it's not the case. Liam spoke to Thomas and warned him, but the young Forrester man assured his ex rival that he respects his marriage.

In April 2023 Thomas found out that his younger brother, R.J. Forrester, is in the Forrester Creations building. Thomas, visibly not pleased by his brother's visit, asked his mother how she feels about Brooke and Ridge's only child being back in town. Taylor replied that she trusts her friendship with Brooke, but she did admit that she believes that RJ's return may lead to Brooke and Ridge reuniting. Thomas's mother convinced him to welcome his brother. RJ and Thomas were civil, but there was a noticeable distance between them. RJ also gave Thomas a warning that he won't let him hurt his mother and sister.

In May 2023 Hope and Thomas were celebrating Hope For The Future's success. Hope thanked Thomas for breathing air into her line again and he thanked her for giving him another chance. Steffy Forrester saw that the two held hands she angrily confronted Hope and accused her of flirting with her brother. Steffy said that Thomas changed and yelled that she won't let anyone set Thomas back. She asked Hope if she has feelings for him, but Hope denied it. When Liam confronted Thomas he assured him that he wouldn't cross the line with Hope even if she came up to him. In June 2023 Thomas, Hope, Steffy, Brooke, Ridge and Carter went on a business trip to Rome. Hope for the future was a huge success. Thomas was shocked when he went for a walk with Hope and she suddenly kissed him by the Colosseum. Both Thomas and Hope didn't know that Liam wanted to surprise Hope and he came to Rome. Liam saw the kiss Hope and Thomas shared and he was comforted by Steffy. Suddenly Liam kissed a shocked Steffy. On the plane back home Hope told Thomas that what happened in Rome has to stay in Rome and she's anxious to go back to her family. Thomas was shocked when Steffy revealed that she knows about the kiss and he asked Steffy to not use this against Hope and try to undermine Hope and Liam's marriage. Steffy informed her brother that Liam knows and he was the one who told her. When Thomas was at home Hope visited him and told him that Liam ended their marriage and that he already wants Steffy. Ridge and Taylor's son was lost for words when Hope declared that she wants him. The two kissed, but Thomas revealed that he can't continue and looked at Hope's wedding ring. Hope took the ring off and the two of them went to the bedroom and made love. Hope revealed to Thomas that she forgave Liam for his many infidelities, but she never forgot and she told him that with him she feels like she's the only woman in the world. She also asked Thomas to keep what happened between them a secret until they will figure out where it will go.
