Stephen and Beth were married since 1960 until 2006. Later they were together again. Stephen proposed to Beth and they were engaged since 2009 until her death in 2010. They share four children: Storm Logan (deceased), Brooke Logan Forrester, Donna Logan and Katie Logan.
Dating, marriage and Stephen leaving the family (80's)[]
When the two studied together in Northwestern University Stephen was secretly in love with Beth, but she was in a relationship with Eric Forrester. One day Eric had a one night stand with Stephanie Forrester and soon Stephanie told the young Forrester that she's pregnant with his child. Eric left Beth to marry the mother of his child. Beth was heartbroken and married Stephen on the rebound after only 5 months. Stephen did everything to be as successful as his rival Eric, but he wasn't able to do it. He felt like a failure and feeling that he will never be as good as Eric he decided to leave his family in 1980. Beth and their 4 children didn't even know where Stephen was.
Stephen comes back (1988)[]
When Beth and Eric started getting close again jealous Stephanie hired a private detective Conway Weston so he could find Beth's husband. At first Weston thought that Stephen is dead, but he eventually found him in Tucson, Arizona. Stephanie and Weston left an anonymous letter for the Logan's with Stephen's location. In April 1988 Brooke Logan Forrester found her father and told him about Beth's cancer. Stephen asked Brooke to forget about him and keep their meeting a secret. Donna Logan visits Stephen soon after. Stephen told her the same thing he told Brooke, but Donna refused to leave without him and she said that Beth has no other man in her life (not knowing that Beth and Eric re-connected) and she also mentioned Stephen's father Helen Logan who is worried sick for him. Stephen agreed and they came back home together. Beth was furious and told him to leave. Stephen assured Beth that he never stopped loving her and after Donna and Katie Logan convinced her Beth allowed Stephen to sleep at their home. While the girls were happy to have their father back Storm is furious and confronts him. Stephen explains to Beth why he left. He felt bad that he couldn't get a good job, but Bill Spencer Sr. soon offered him one because the Logan family helped his daughter Caroline Spencer Forrester after she was raped. Stephen was ecstatic because of a job with a very good salary and he informed his family.
June 1988 during a birthday party Stephen gave Beth a ring. Beth refused to wear it, but Stephen put it on her finger reminding her about the marriage vows they once said. Then Donna reminded them that legally they are still married.
In July 1988 Katie choked on a burger and Stephen saved her life. Beth is grateful and kisses him.
Moving to Paris together[]
Stephen was shocked when he found out that Beth and Eric re-connected. He decided to confront the Forrester man and vowed that he will finds for his wife.Bill Spencer Sr., wanting to help Eric's wife offered Stephen a new work in Paris and said that if he will refuse he'll fire him. Stephen asked Beth for a new chance and wanted her to move to Paris with him. Eric decided to stay with his family because of his sick daughter Angela and then Beth agreed to give Stephen a chance, but told him that she will not have sex with him. The two ended up moving to Paris together.
Beth still longing for Eric (1989-1990)[]
In 1989 Beth visited Los Angeles and she spoke to Eric. The two went down the memory lane and even kissed, but during their next meeting she confesses that she's happy with Stephen and the two kiss goodbye.
In March 1990 Beth shows up in Los Angeles to make checkups and she was happy to hear that Eric and Stephanie are getting a divorce. She's devastated when Eric informed her that he won't go back to her as there is a woman in his life. Beth told everything to Brooke and she was shocked when she confessed that she's the woman in Eric's life. Beth was angry at her daughter and reminded her that she was in a relationship with Eric's son and she is just involved with her own mother's greatest love. Stephanie calls Beth thinking that she is the woman Eric is leaving her for, but she told her that she is not that woman. After Eric and Brooke got engaged Beth went back to Paris and Stephen.
In December 1990 Beth shows up in LA after her grandson Rick Forrester is born. Beth confesses to Brooke that she left Stephen few months prior and is still very much in love with Eric. Beth tries to take Brooke and the baby to Paris, but her daughter replies that she and Eric will get married. Beth tells Eric that she loves him, but he wants to marry Brooke. Beth again goes back to Paris to be with Stephen.
Family drama and divorce (2001-2006)[]
In 2001 Stephen and Beth showed up in Los Angeles to attend Brooke's and Thorne Forrester's wedding. Brooke and Thorne broke up and the Logan girl started going after Ridge Forrester who was her first love. Ridge happened to be married to Taylor Hayes at the time. Ridge's biological father Massimo Marone paid Stephen 1 mln to lie to Brooke that he is ill so she travels to Paris and takes care of him. First Beth also joined the scheme, but she ended up telling her daughter the truth.
In 2006 Stephen came to Los Angeles and informed everyone that he and Beth got a divorce.
Stephen and Beth get engaged/ Beth's death (2009-2010)[]
Stephen and Beth suffered immensely after losing their oldest child Storm Logan. Beth's health was deteriorating. She had few strokes and she started having Alzheimer's. In 2010 her and Stephen decided to get engaged and start over. The couple decided to move from Paris to Los Angeles because Beth's condition has got worse. At that time Donna Logan was married to Eric. Beth was furious when she found out that Eric allowed his then ex wife Stephanie to move in into the guest house. She confronted her ex rival for Eric's heart and reminded her how she stole the love of her life from her. The two argued and at one point Stephanie threw Beth's napkin to the pool and left. Beth tried to take the napkin out and drowned in the pool. Stephen was inconsolable and blamed Stephanie for Beth's death. He even planned a revenge and used Stephanie's younger sister Pamela Douglas to get back at her.
