In the beginning of 2022, things don't work out between Zende Dominguez and Paris Buckingham when she stops him before asking her to marry him. A heartbroken Zende starts to accept that he and Paris are having an open 'relationship' and allow each other to date other people. While Paris is flirting and kissing with Carter Walton, Zende accepts Sequoyah's invite to go on a date with her. Grace Buckingham isn't happy with Carter in the picture and wants her daughter to be with Zende.
