Shauna was introduced to Ridge when she revealed to her daughter Flo Logan that she is Brooke Logan's niece. For some times nobody was aware that both Shauna and Flo hide a horrible secret from the Logans and the Forresters and that they have informations that could change the live of Ridge's daughter Steffy Forrester and Brooke's daughter Hope Logan. Flo was helping Reese Buckingham to sell Hope's daughter Beth Spencer to an unaware Steffy without knowing who the baby's mother is. Shauna found out and encouraged her daughter to stay quiet so she won't lose everything she has including her new found family. Once the truth came out and a heartbroken Steffy had to give back the baby she raised for 8 months to Hope. Ridge was furious and he called the police on Flo. Shauna begged Ridge to not throw her daughter in jail, but he didn't care. At one point Ridge heard that if Flo will testify she might reveal his son's role in the crime (Thomas Forrester was one of the people who hid the truth about Beth being alive to Hope). Ridge got scared and dropped the charges. Shauna, not knowing that Ridge did it for Thomas's and not Flo's sake started crushing on him.

One day Shauna met Ridge at The Bikini Beach Club. He was getting drunk because he was upset with his wife Brooke for her war with his son Thomas Forrester. At one point Ridge was so drunk that the bartender proposed that he should sleep in a bedroom above the bar. When Ridge passed out and fell asleep Shauna kissed him. Later she lays beside him and sleeps in bed with him. In the morning she tells him that nothing happened between them. She convinced Ridge that she stayed with him because she didn't want to leave him alone when he was in that state as she is still grateful for dropping the charges on her daughter. Shauna shares the story with Flo and she's scared that it can cause even more problems between her and her Logan side of the family. Soon Shauna talks to Ridge and reveals that she can't stop thinking about him and the night that she slept by his side.
The start of Shauna's and Ridge's affair[]

Thomas found out that Shauna kissed Ridge and that she's in love with his father and he started encouraging her to help him in breaking Ridge and Brooke up. Shauna never revealed to Ridge that Thomas suggested it, but she starts flirting with Ridge and complimenting him for standing up for Thomas and his grandson Douglas Forrester. Shauna and Ridge end up both living at Eric Forrester's mansion and Ridge, still legally married to Brooke, shared passionate kisses with Shauna. The Fulton woman assures him of her friendship and support. Ridge is infatuated with Shauna and the understanding that she is providing to him while his wife wasn't able to forgive his son for his role in keeping Brooke's granddaughter away from the biological family. Shauna confesses everything to Quinn Forrester. Quinn encourages Shauna to go for it and reveals that she once also had a crush on Ridge. Soon after Ridge tells Shauna about Brooke and Hope plotting to take his grandson away from his son. Shauna again takes Ridge side. Ridge revealed that he is separated from Brooke, but he still talked about her with a lot of love which made Shauna uncomfortable. Soon the two kiss again and Ridge tells Shauna that he wishes to get to know her better, but it's too early for a new relationship.

Shauna confessed to Ridge that she is in love with him, but he attempted to make things right with his wife again. He tried to reason with Brooke and asked her to forgive Thomas, but the two couldn't compromise. Quinn actively encouraged Shauna to fight for Ridge and told her that she is better than Brooke for the Forrester man. Ridge asks Brooke to sign their divorce papers. The papers are signed, but Ridge doesn't file them as he isn't really sure if he wants to end their marriage while Thomas gives Shauna her support and again encouraged her to go after his father.

Ridge started feeling guilty and confessed to Brooke that he has been sharing kisses with Shauna behind her back even thought they are still married. Brooke was furious and sure about Quinn encouraging Shauna to make a pay for her husband. Brooke went to Eric's and Quinn's home and confronted both Shauna and the lady of the house. Brooke slaps Shauna and Quinn slaps Brooke. Eric Forrester stops the fight and while Eric wants Ridge and Brooke to work on their marriage Quinn and Shauna say that Brooke is guilty of the deterioration of her relationship with Ridge.

Shauna is heartbroken when she learns that Ridge and Brooke have resolved their issues. One day Shauna witnesses Brooke's and Bill Spencer Jr. kissing and she records it. Shauna shows Quinn the recording and she encourages her to use it against Brooke. Shauna doesn't want to hurt Ridge, but Quinn has other plans. Ridge and Brooke organize a reunion party where Quinn plays the footage of Brooke and Bill kissing in front everyone including Ridge and Bill's fiance and Brooke's sister Katie Logan. Quinn is delighted to see Brooke exposed. Ridge is furious with Brooke and leaves the party to see Shauna.

Shauna wants to leave LA because she's heartbroken that Ridge is staying with Brooke. She's unaware that Ridge just saw Brooke's and Bill's kiss and is looking for her. Ridge shows up and tells Shauna that he is planning to go to Vegas with her. Shauna is over the moon and the two travel together. The two spent time in Shauna's Vegas flat. Shauna tried to encourage Ridge to contact Brooke, but he didn't do it. The two spent the night partying in Las Vegas and Ridge ended up drunk. Quinn found out that Ridge is wasted and convinced Shauna to send a fake text from Ridge's phone to his attorney Carter Walton. In the text "Ridge" asks Carter to file the divorce papers. Carter does it and then Shauna takes Ridge to the chapel in Vegas and they get married. Ridge has no recollection of it ever happening and when he wakes up the next morning a Forrester pilot waits for Ridge to take him back home (planned by Brooke). When he gets to LA he gets a call from Shauna who tells him that because of her feelings for him she has to stay away. Ridge tries to make things right with Brooke once more when Shauna comes back to LA and tells him that they are legally married. He is absolutely shocked. Ridge tells Brooke that they are now divorced and he is married to Shauna. Shauna feels guilty, but Quinn convinces her to keep it a secret and tells her friend that they only helped Ridge to set himself free from a toxic marriage with Brooke. Ridge still wants to be with Brooke, but overhears Brooke telling Bill that she will always love him. Brooke explains that it's not the same kind of love she has for him and tells him that he will always love Taylor too, but Ridge thinks it's not the same and he leaves to be with Shauna.

Ridge decides to honor his vows to Shauna even if he doesn't remember marrying her. One day Quinn encouraged Ridge to give Shauna a real wedding as they never had one. Ridge reluctantly agrees and Brooke is heartbroken to learn the news about Ridge's and Shauna's upcoming wedding as it's a sign that he really starts moving on. Shauna is tormented by guilt and on the wedding day she decides to tell Ridge the truth, but he learns it before and tells her that he is ending things. Brooke and Ridge find out they never been legally divorced as Ridge was not the one filing the papers. It was the end of "Sidge".
