Ridge is the biological son of Massimo Marone and Stephanie Douglas, but was raised by Stephanie and Eric Forrester and he is the one that Ridge considers his father.
Dating, pregnancy and abortion (early 80's)[]
Morgan was working at Forrester Creations when she and Ridge fell in love and began dating. She was significantly younger than Ridge who was considered to be a womanizer. When Morgan got pregnant she confided in Stephanie Forrester . She convinced Morgan to make an abortion and to leave Los Angeles as she didn't approve of their relationship.
Morgan comes back to Forrester Creations (2000)[]
In February Morgan has been hired as a fashion designer in Forrester Creations. It was clear that she still has feelings for her old flame, but Ridge was happily married to Taylor Hayes at the time. All that Ridge offered Morgan was friendship and she was pretending that it's enough for her. Morgan befriended Ridge's wife and soon her secret about the abortion and the pain that came with her has been revealed. Both Taylor and Ridge showed support to Morgan and Ridge was furious with his mothers role in Morgan's traumatic experience. Soon Morgan revealed that she wants to have a baby. Ridge and his wife decided to support her during her IVF, but just before it was about to happen she decided that she doesn't want any mans baby. For Morgan it had to be Ridge's child. Both Ridge and Taylor were absolutely against Morgan's idea.

After both Ridge and Taylor didn't agree to Morgan's plan to have Ridge's child she decided to wait for the right opportunity and when Taylor traveled out of town she tricked Ridge info believing that Taylor not only allowed Ridge to be the sperm donor, but to donate his seed the old fashioned way. It didn't take long before Ridge realized that Morgan tricked him and he demanded from her to take a pregnancy test. Morgan took a fake one and was hiding her pregnancy for some time. Ridge's mother realized that Morgan is pregnant and forced her to spill the beans. Stephanie wanted to help Ridge and Taylor's marriage and was pretending to be Morgan's friend. She gave her tea with a drug that was supposed to cause a miscarriage. Morgan found out and vowed revenge. Ridge felt horrible because he was lying to his wife in fear of losing her.
Morgan lost the baby[]
Soon after Morgan found out that she is expecting a boy. Taylor was overjoyed for her friend without knowing that it was her husband's baby. Ridge couldn't stand the feeling of guilt and finally told his wife that Morgan tricked him and is expecting his baby. Taylor was angry and heartbroken. Morgan tried to force Taylor to accept the baby into her family and to see him as a blessing, but Taylor was furious with her and tried to get away from her. Morgan didn't want to leave Taylor alone and followed her upstairs where she started pulling her. Taylor pulled Morgan away from herself and she accidentally pushed her off the balcony. Taylor was horrified and called 911. In the hospital both Ridge and Taylor were with Morgan when she found out that her baby has died due to the fall. Morgan blamed Taylor. Stephanie felt bad and wanted to apologize to a heartbroken Morgan, but she didn't accept the apology.
