Rick Forrester and Steffy Forrester are fictional characters and a couple from CBS's daytime soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. Rick is the son of fashion designer, Eric Forrester, and Brooke Logan. Steffy is the daughter of supercouple, designer Ridge Forrester, and doctor Taylor Hamilton.
Steffy is portrayed by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, and Rick was portrayed by Kyle Lowder.
Storylines []
Rick Forrester was originally the boyfriend of Steffy's twin sister Phoebe Forrester, but she left him after he cheated on her with Ashley Abbott. After their break up Rick bonded with Phoebe's and Steffy's mom Taylor Hayes. Taylor had a drinking problem at the moment and ended up in bed with Rick. Phoebe caught the two and she was horrified. Taylor wanted to end it, but later Phoebe encouraged them to be together although it hurt her. Taylor left Rick and he started being interested in Steffy. Rick kissed her and she told Phoebe about it. It was too much for Phoebe. She entered his car on his way to Ridge's and Brooke's wedding and yelled at him. She demanded he stops the car and when he didn't she pushed the gas pedal and hit him. Rick lost control of the car and both crashed. Rick had minor injuries, but Phoebe died. Steffy's father Ridge (who was in love with both Taylor and Rick's mother Brooke Logan, causing a war) came running down sad and furious. He didn't like the young Forrester since forever so immediately blamed his daughters death on him.
Steffy hated Rick, but later they bonded over mourning and Steffy started to believe that Rick didn't cause her twins death. The two fell in love and started a relationship. Rick even became the first man Steffy made love to. The Forrester didn't support it. Steffy's grandmother, Stephanie Douglas was outraged. Rick even proposed, but was stopped by Ridge, who pushed Rick off a building but Rick survived. Steffy's older brother Thomas Forrester even tried to kill Rick by blowing up his car and putting his house on fire. All of this didn't make Steffy leave however one day Taylor played a recording to Steffy in which Rick admits that he wants to take revenge on Ridge by marrying Steffy. She was disappointed and left him. He fought to win her back and for a brief period he succeeded however they parted ways shortly after.
Years later Rick started feeling something for Steffy again while he tried to convince her to annul her marriage to Liam Spencer so Liam could marry Hope Logan, Rick's younger sister. Steffy ignored his advances and only went out to eat with him one time.
