Katie Logan is portrayed by Heather Tom. Katie is the younger sister of Brooke Logan. Nick, who was portrayed by Jack Wagner, is the half-brother of Ridge Forrester.

In 2008, the marriage of Nick and Taylor Hayes ended. Katie's niece, Bridget Forrester, saw it as an opportunity to get back with the Marone man. She asked Katie to convince Nick that she is the one for him. Katie agreed to it, but in the process she fell in love with Nick. Bridget and Nick got back together. Katie got accidentally shot by her brother Storm Logan. Feeling guilty, Storm made a decision to sacrifice his life for his younger sister and he shot himself so she could get his heart. Katie was devastated when she learnt about her brother's sacrifice. Soon Katie's body started rejecting the heart that Storm gifted to her. While Katie was dying Nick was supporting her. One night Nick and Katie had sex behind Bridget's back. Unaware of her aunts betrayal, Bridget was looking for a way to save Katie's life. Bridget managed to stabilize Katie's health. Soon, Katie found out that she's pregnant with Nick's baby. Bridget and Nick got married however when Bridget found out about Katie and Nick's night of passion she demanded a divorce. Brooke slapped her younger sister for hurting her daughter. Katie and Nick decided to be together, but unfortunately they lost their baby. The couple got engaged. In 2009, Katie was annoyed that Nick and Bridget will start working together. Nick's mother, Jackie, didn't hide that she didn't want Katie as a daughter in law. In February 2009, Katie and Nick tried to get married, but Bridget and Jackie stopped the ceremony. Katie warned her would-be mother in law and niece to stay out of their relationship. Soon after Katie came to a conclusion that Nick still does love Bridget so she ends their relationship and leaves Nick a goodbye letter. After the break-up, Katie found herself abusing alcohol. Soon she met Bill Spencer Jr. who was her future husband and the father of her son Will Spencer.
