Mary Warwick (alias Erica Lovejoy; birth name Margaret Warwick by James and Maggie, later changed to Mary Warwick by Sheila) is a fictional character on the American CBS daytime soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. She was portrayed by Courtnee Draper in 2002 from Apr 17 to Oct 18.
Storylines[]
Mary is the daughter of Dr. James Warwick and ex-fugitive Sheila Carter. "Erica Lovejoy" was born Mary Warwick which Sheila and James's former wife Maggie Forrester fought custody over. Eric Forrester and Stephanie Forrester tried to protect Mary, but Sheila won and took her out of town. Mary resurfaced as a teenager with named Erica Lovejoy with no clue who her father is and wanting to get away from her mother Sheila Lovejoy (Carter).
In April 2002, Erica had no idea of her mother's criminal past or her birth name when decides to go to LA after she learned that her idol Amber Moore Forrester collapsed and was taken to the hospital. Erica rents an apartment from Ziggy Deadmarsh and goes to the cemetery to see the memorial service, which is attended by a number of Forrester family members. Erica decides to get closer to Amber by befriending other members of her family. Erica sees a boy at a school yard playing chess by himself, so she asks him if he wants to play with her. Unbeknownst to Erica, the boy is Zende Forrester Dominguez.
Erica was hired as Rick Forrester's babysitter even though Ambrosia Moore wanted her fired. Sheila follows Erica back to LA and insists that Erica come between Rick and Amber. Erica tells Sheila that Rick and Amber's marriage is solid and will not be a homewrecker. Little does Erica know that Sheila has put a plan into place that Lance Day is going to drug Amber, who just got out of rehab for being addicted to pain killers, at Amber's celebration pool party that Eric Forrester is throwing at his house. Erica sees Amber and Lance sitting on a bench and tells Rick about it the next day after Amber doesn't come home all night. Erica manages to worm her way further into Rick's life with Sheila's help and Amber's constantly pointing the finger at Erica being behind the problems in her marriage.
Eric throws a party in Erica's honor to thank her for supporting Rick thru all the problems that Rick and Amber are going thru. Sheila is excited in going, but freaks out when Ziggy reminds her that she can't and will be arrested if the Forresters find out that she is in town. When Rick shows up to pick up Erica and Sheila for the party, Sheila tries to get out of it by claiming that she will meet them later. When Sheila doesn't show up at all to the party, Erica is embarrassed. Erica and Rick go back to Erica's apartment to check on Sheila to find that Sheila is gone and Amber has been arrested.
Erica continues to beg Sheila for the truth about their past and her father. While Erica is babysitting Little Eric, Erica looks through a photo album and finds a picture of her mother in Brooke's photo album. Erica questions Rick about who that woman in the background is. Rick tells her that is Sheila, Eric's worst ex-wife. Erica leaves several messages for her mother to call her back. Sheila has no choice, but to come clean about being married to Eric Forrester. Later Erica asked Rick about Sheila's marriage to Eric and who her father is. Rick tells Erica how Sheila is crazy and that her father is James Warwick. James kept looking for Erica giving up his practice and his way of life. Rick tells Erica that he wouldn't want anything to do with Mary because he assumes that she would be the same whack job as her mother. Erica tells Sheila that she will keep her true identity secret.
Erica writes the jingle for the Ambrosia line and Rick signs her as the artist. Sheila tells Erica if she wants to have the life she wanted with Rick then she needs to give Rick a baby as Forrester men don't abandon their children or their mothers. Erica tries to seduce Rick in Brooke's living room. Rick gets turned off and fights off Erica's advances. Rick gets a call from Amber and tells Erica to go home.
Sheila decided to kidnap Amber and threaten her by spilling over tequila and took her to her apartment. Sheila locked Amber in her apartment and placed a bottle of tequila on the outside making it look like a suicide. Sheila tied Amber up in a chair and Amber noticed a how to get pregnant book on the table. Sheila admit to her Erica's trying to get pregnant. Amber found a pair of scissors on the stack of newspapers and asked Sheila for some water so she could get loose. Once she did Amber went for the door but Sheila wrestled her over the couch. Stephanie Douglas and Sheila's ex lover Massimo Marone tracked her down and she booked. Stephanie had a rivalry with Sheila because Sheila went after Stephanie's husband and Rick's father Eric Forrester. Amber ran to Dr. Taylor Hayes (Stephanie's daughter-in-law and best friend) for help. Taylor went over to Eric's to alert him while Sheila was there and pointed a gun at her. Taylor and Eric told her to calm down when Eric's current wife (Stephanie's greatest rival and Taylor's major rival) Brooke Logan came out and dropped something when Sheila pointed the gun at her. Taylor ironically tried to stop her shooting herself and then Sheila shot Brooke. Eric called the police. Eric's son (not biologically) and husband of both Taylor and Brooke came. Brooke was in better condition than Taylor. The police came and Eric told Sheila to go to hell. Taylor was presumed dead but was still alive. Dr. Prince Omar Rashid who fell in love with Taylor called some of the best doctors from around the world to save Taylor and returned two years later. Rick and Amber broke up years after because the whole Forrester family including Rick turned against her for her lies, secrets, and schemes.
In August 2017, Mary is mentioned by Sheila Carter in a conversation between her and Dr. James Warwick. It seems Sheila and Mary are still in contact somehow. Or so she wanted him to believe.
In 2021, in a conversation between Sheila and Deacon she tells him that her other children don't want anything to do with her as the reason why she's so focused on Finn.
