Liam Spencer and Hope Spencer are a fictional couple from the Soap Opera The Bold and the Beautiful. They are currently portrayed by Scott Clifton and Annika Noelle. Hope was previously portrayed by Kim Matula from 2010 to 2016. Liam is the son of Bill Spencer and Kelly Hopkins. Hope is the daughter of Brooke Logan Forrester and Deacon Sharpe. They are known collectively as "Lope". They share a daughter Beth Spencer.
Beginnings[]
Liam first appeared in Los Angeles in 2010 as Liam Copper. He was a computer specialist and an intern at Spencer Publications. Once he got the job of repairing Steffy Forrester's computer he found a private conversation between Steffy and her father Ridge Forrester. They spoke about Hope's mother and her boyfriend Oliver Jones making love by accident. Brooke believed that it was Ridge and Oliver believed that she was Hope. Somehow Justin Barber was able to put his hands on this recording and decided to use it against the Forresters. The recording was revealed to the public which had huge consequences for Forrester Creations and especially for Brooke, Ridge, Oliver, Hope and Steffy. Stephanie Forrester and Ridge Forrester both confronted Liam and slapped him for his role in the scandal. Liam tried to explain that Justin did it, but nobody believed him. Things got even more complicated when Liam revealed that he believes to be Ridge's son. Ridge told him that he never met his mother Kelly Hopkins. After being thrown out from the FC building Liam met Hope that has been harassed by the press and decided to save her. Hope and Liam spent some time bonding with each other and they became friends. Hope was fascinated by how sensitive Liam is and he started developing deep feelings for her. Soon Hope moved on from her ex Oliver Jones and told her mother that Liam is "the one".

Bill Spencer decided to fire Liam from the company because he felt betrayed after Liam revealed to the Forresters that Justin and Bill were responsible for the audio coming out. Before getting out of the building Liam accidentally left his mothers photograph there and Bill recognized his old flame when he saw it. At that point Liam was still adamant that he is Ridge's son. He knew his mother worked at Forrester at the time of his conception. Hope offered a list of past employees for Liam to help him pinpoint who his dad might be. He was supposed to show her a photo of his mom, but realized that he lost it. Hope spoke about his mom at Forrester Creations and Thorne Forrester recognized her name and realized that he could be Liam's dad as he was the one having an intimate relationship with her and not his older brother Ridge. Meanwhile Bill Spencer told his wife Katie Logan that he believes that he might be Liam's father. Thorne and Bill both made the DNA test and it came out that Bill is Liam's father. Liam was heartbroken because he hated his ex boss and preferred to be Thorne's son, but after trying multiple times Hope and her aunt Katie managed to make peace between the two.

As Hope and Liam's relationship was developing Steffy Forrester got jealous and wanted Liam for herself. In the past she tried to steal Hope's other boyfriend from her and it didn't work, but she hoped that this time she can succeed. Steffy expressed that since Liam is a Spencer he became the hottest bachelor in town. Steffy dressed a sexy bikini and tried to seduce the Spencer man, but he rejected her and continued his relationship with Hope. It couldn't be easy for him as Hope refused to have sex with him based on her belief that she has to wait until marriage.

One night Liam hit his head and lost consciousness. When he woke up he saw a blonde girl beside him and it wasn't Hope, but Amber Moore. She lied that they had sex and he believed her as he didn't remember anything. He decided to be honest with Hope and she forgave him, but things complicated when Amber announced that she's pregnant. In the end it was revealed that Amber's baby isn't Liam's when she gave birth to a black baby. The little baby girl really belonged to Hope's cousin Marcus Barber. Hope and Liam happily repaired their relationship and moved on with their lives.

Hope and Liam were very much in love and happy, but there was one but. Hope's decision about celibacy made Liam more and more impatient. Liam tried to respect Hope's wishes, but he was struggling. Everything became even more complicated when Steffy, who just got dumped by Liam's dad realized that she wants Liam again because he saved her from drowning in her bathtub. When Liam made CPR on her she regained consciousness and kissed him passionately and later boasted about it to Hope. The Logan woman was sure that Liam just saved Steffy's life and she was being delusional. Steffy continued to seduce Liam and told Hope that if she will give him what Hope refuses to give. When Steffy told Liam that Hope's decision is selfish he defended her. Liam proved to Hope that he wants her by proposing to her during a fashion show. Hope freaked out when she saw the ring and ran off the the roof. Liam followed her and after calming down Hope agreed to marry him. Hope decided to give herself to Liam and forget about the vow she took to wait until marriage. Liam was very excited, but while the two kissed passionately Hope chickened out as she was scared to become promiscuous as her mother and left an unsatisfied Liam alone. Steffy decided to comfort Liam and the two had a walk on the beach where they kissed. Steffy tried to convince Liam to leave Hope again, but Liam didn't want to do it. Bill Spencer got annoyed that Hope doesn't give his son what he wants and decided that his ex mistress Steffy is better for his son so he encouraged Steffy to go for it. After Liam's bachelor party Steffy drove with Liam and asked him to give her a goodbye kiss. Liam agreed because he didn't know that Hope decided to give sex another chance and wanted to move in with him. When she arrived at his home she saw Steffy and Liam kissing in the car. In rage she went inside Liam's home and left her engagement ring on the mantle. Liam saw it and thought that Hope left him because she choose her fashion line over him. He was sad and angry to the point that he put Hope's ring on Steffy's finger and the two ended up having sex.

Steffy and Liam decided to go for a trip to Aspen. Hope found out about it and after calming down she realized that she can't lose Liam over a kiss so she traveled to Aspen as well. She contacted Liam and asked him to see her on the mountain top. Liam saw the message and went to see Hope. Steffy found out and she was scared to lose Liam so she contacted Bill and he decided to help. When Hope was in a gondola trying to get to the mountain top where Liam was waiting for her Steffy called Bill and asked him to stop the gondolas. Bill knew the right people in Aspen and was able to do it. Steffy made it to the top wearing a wedding dress. She brought a minister with her. Liam had no idea that Hope see's him from the gondola and he didn't hear that she screams for him. He thought that Hope didn't show up and Steffy was there ready to absolutely commit to him so he married her. After Liam and Steffy came back to Los Angeles they had a family party to celebrate their union. Hope tried to get there and explain herself to Liam, but Steffy didn't let her in.
Steffy's scheme exposed[]
When Brooke told Liam that Hope wanted to commit to him, but she saw him and Steffy kissing and that's why she left the ring at his home he was heartbroken and said that he loves Steffy, but that what he has with Steffy doesn't even come close to what he feels for Hope. He was very torn between his commitment to the woman he married and his love for Hope. Steffy was constantly showing Liam how much she cares for him which made it even harder. Hope was devastated and angry at the whole situation and was also torn between fighting for Liam and accepting that he is now a married man. Hope confronted Steffy about Aspen and the gondola in front of Liam, but Steffy lied that she didn't do anything. Liam told Steffy that if she was the one who stopped the gondola then Hope was not the only person that she trapped that day. Steffy was horrified by Liam's words and was keeping this secret for a bit longer, but eventually decided that she can't have secrets with Liam and told him the truth and that she did it for him out of love. Liam got angry and went to see Hope, but before he could talk to her he was stopped by Thomas Forrester that asked him to go back to his wife. Thomas was already hitting on Hope and developed deep feelings for her. Both Steffy and Thomas made a pact. Thomas was supposed to seduce Hope so she could stop being a problem for Liam and her. Hope didn't fall for Thomas, but she and him shared some kisses. Liam was jealous when he saw them together, but he was humbled by Hope that reminded him that he is married.

Liam and Steffy tried to work on their marriage and they traveled to Cabo to the Esperanza resort. Steffy liked the name so she asked the hotel worker about the translation and she heard that Esperanza means Hope. This was just the beginning of Steffy's nightmare in Cabo. She didn't know that Hope and Thomas traveled to the same resort so when she saw them she was furious and worked very hard on keeping Hope away from Liam's eyes. Liam was confused why his wife is leaving him alone all the time and he had no idea that she was just making sure to keep Hope away from him. When he was alone he daydreamed about Hope. Steffy and Bill prepared an engagement ring for Thomas so he could give it to Hope however Hope rejected the proposal. Steffy decided to force Thomas and Hope's relationship another way and she paid the bar to send unlimited drinks to Hope and Thomas. Hope enjoyed her drinks and got drunk. Steffy was watching them from far and hoped that Hope will get so drunk that she will sleep with Thomas. Sadly for her Liam walked up to her and noticed that Steffy is watching Hope and Thomas. He got angry at her and ran to Hope leaving Steffy in tears. Thomas noticed Liam running towards them so he took Hope on a quad and tried to ran off with her, but Liam drove after them and eventually cached up with them. He and Hope kissed on the beach and Liam expressed that he wants to be with her. Their happiness lasted just few moments as Thomas informed them that Steffy followed them on a quad and had an accident. Steffy was rushed to the hospital.

Steffy's parents and Bill came to Cabo to support their Steffy and Liam after the accident. Ridge noticed how Hope and Liam look at each other and demanded for it to stop. Liam and Hope decided that he has to be there for his wife because of this accident. Bill made sure that Steffy will need Liam for a very long time so he won't leave her for Hope and he paid the doctor off. Steffy heard that she has a life threatening blood clot in her brain and that she can't be stressed or else she might even die. Liam and Hope were heartbroken, but understood that there is no way for them to reconcile no matter how much they want it. Liam went back home with Steffy and Hope was again left alone and suffering. Hope's aunt found out that Steffy's blood clot is a lie and informed Liam about it. Liam blamed both Bill and Steffy. Steffy was desperate to prove that she had no part in this, but Liam didn't buy it an ran to Hope and reconciled with her despite Steffy begging him to stay with her.
Hope and Liam get engaged[]
Hope and Liam wanted to get married as soon as possible and to move on from all the past chaos, but there was one problem. Liam was still legally married to Steffy. After Hope's request Liam asked Steffy for an annulment, but she refused. Hope was sure that Steffy would sign the papers and even organized a wedding on Valentine's day, but Steffy said that Liam will have to wait 6 months for a divorce as she was confident that Liam will come back to her because he won't wait 6 months to have sex with Hope. Hope tried to convince Steffy to sign the papers by visiting her at home, but Steffy called her Liam's rebound and the two ended up throwing chocolate at each other.
Hope's pill addiction[]
Hope decided that Steffy can't control her life and she ended up making love to Liam. Steffy found out and she called Hope an adulteress. Hope couldn't handle that she sacrificed her principles and that her own fans started turning on her when they found out that she is in a relationship with a legally married man so she went to therapy. Her therapist gave her a prescription for pills, but Hope needed more than what has been prescribed in order to calm down. Amber Moore offered to help by giving her pills, but these were stronger than the original ones. When Hope and Liam went to Aspen Bill sent the press after Hope and they followed her everywhere. Hope couldn't stand the pressure and took the pills Amber gave to her. She was high when she and Liam went skiing and she accidentally crashed into Steffy Forrester that was also in Aspen at the time. She asked if Steffy is fine and when she confirmed that she's okay Hope left her alone. Steffy tried to stand up and it's then when she realized that she can't lift her body up and that she's seriously injured. Liam found her and took her to the doctor. He was angry at Hope so she decided to give him space and left Liam alone in Aspen
Steffy's last attempt to stop Hope and Liam's wedding from happening[]
Liam brought Steffy to recover in his Aspen home. While the two talked about their marriage and sang Bob Hope's song "Thanks for the memory" Steffy got emotional and decided to sign the annulment papers to set Liam free, but he tore the papers up and kissed her. For Steffy it meant that she still had a chance. She told her family that she's confident that she and Liam will reunite however Liam didn't leave Hope and still planned on getting married. Hope's mother found out what Liam did in Aspen, but both Brooke and Liam decided to not tell Hope anything because that could ruin things. Steffy hoped till the last moment that Liam will change his mind when he came to see her on the last evening of their marriage however when midnight came Steffy's and Liam's marriage officially became the past.

Hope and Liam chose Puglia to be their wedding destination. Steffy also traveled there with the whole family after Bill told her that Liam could change his mind and she should be there just in case. Hope and Liam were traveling through Puglia and sharing a lot of happy moments and they had no idea that they will soon be facing problems. Bill decided to scheme again and took Hope's father Deacon Sharpe out of jail. He asked Deacon to see Hope and leave a goodbye letter to her in the room in exchange for his freedom. Deacon agreed and he went to Italy. Hope was happy and emotional when she saw her father and he left the goodbye letter in the room. Bill orchestrated a chain of events that made Hope late for her own wedding. Liam went looking for her and found the goodbye letter from Deacon believing that Hope wrote it to him. Bill told Steffy to get inside the room and there she comforted a raging Liam. Liam, believing that Hope has left him at the altar kissed Steffy, but when the two of them heard Hope behind the door Steffy ran to the bathroom. Hope explained to Liam why she was late and that the letter was written by her father and meant for her. Liam was shocked and Steffy cried in the bathroom. Hope and Liam got married in front of their families and Steffy was watching them from a cliff. While watching the wedding Steffy fell into the sea, but survived.

In Los Angeles Hope and Liam are happy until Hope see's a recording where she see's Steffy and Liam kissing on the bed in Italy as Steffy accidentally recorded it on her tablet. Hope and Liam were supposed to sign their marriage license, but instead she tore the papers up and told Steffy that she hates her. Eventually Hope decided to give Liam another chance, but wanted them to have another wedding. Hope and Liam were supposed to go for a romantic dinner a day before their wedding, but Hope saw that Stephanie Forrester, that was a cancer patient at the time felt bad and decided to keep her company so she called off their date. Liam was disappointed and went out clubbing with Steffy where he got drunk, colored his hair and got a tattoo. When Liam told Hope that he was partying at a club and that Steffy was there she ended their relationship. Liam begged Hope on his knees, but she was stubborn. Liam cried in front of his father who scolded him for trying so hard to hold on to a woman like Hope. In September 2012 Liam was shocked when he saw that Thomas kissed Hope during a press conference and he begged Hope to take him back, but she was very angry at him and revealed that she knows that he and Steffy made out in the club. Liam said that he didn't, but Hope believed her brother and told Liam that she doesn't love him anymore out of spite.

Liam was heartbroken and angry after losing Hope and he started to change his attitude towards his workers. Bill liked his son's new, less sensitive version. Steffy told Liam that once he will be ready she will be waiting for him. Liam's cousin Caroline Spencer told him that Hope is still in love with him so he decided to see Hope. She admitted that she lied and she is in love with him, but she can't go back to him as she still didn't believe that he didn't cheat at the club. Liam broke down in tears in front of Steffy's mother when he spoke about losing Hope. Taylor started encouraging Liam to move on hoping that he and Steffy will go back to each other. When Liam's brother and Hope's cousin Will Spencer was born Liam and Hope were comforting each other as they both worried for the health of Will's mother Katie Logan. Liam used this time to ask Hope for another chance once more, but Hope said that she will always love him, but she can't go back to him as he can't forget Steffy. They share one last kiss in Brooke's garden. Donna Logan, Hope's aunt found out about Rick's lie and wanted to tell Hope about it, but when she saw that Liam and Steffy have sex in Brooke's cabin she decided to keep quiet. Liam and Steffy went back to each other and bonded. After some time Liam asked Steffy to move in with him which broke Hope's heart. Soon Liam told his father that he was right and that things are going right with Steffy however he still has feelings for Hope. When Liam and Hope met she revealed to him that she loves him and he told her that he needed someone comfortable and Steffy has been amazing and patient even if it's not what he always wanted. He said that it's not about him choosing Steffy over him, but Hope saying no to him.

Rick and Liam's cousin Caroline were a couple and he revealed to her that he lied about Liam cheating on Hope because he wanted his sister to leave the man that in his eyes wasn't worthy of her. Caroline convinced Rick that they need to do the right thing. Bill tried to stop his niece from telling the truth to Liam and Hope and accidentally pushed her of a balcony. Fortunately she survived and Hope learned the truth. Hope rushed to inform Liam and told him that she knows that he didn't cheat and kissed him. Liam was caught of guard and confessed what happened to Steffy. He also assured her that he is committed to her. Liam went to see Rick and attacked him verbally for creating this chaos between him, Hope and Steffy and when Rick expressed that he doesn't care Liam hit him. Steffy found out and she was concerned that Liam was so upset with Rick because of losing Hope that he had to hit him. She began worrying that maybe Liam isn't over his ex. Hope went to visit Liam at his home and started throwing Steffy's clothes out. First Liam tried to stop her, but then he yelled that he loved her too and they started kissing on the bed on top of Steffy's clothes. Steffy saw them through a window and was heartbroken as she just found out that she's pregnant with Liam's child and wanted to give him the good news. Steffy didn't tell Liam what she saw and traveled to Paris which gave Hope and Liam some time to be alone. Hope convinced Liam that there might still be a future for them and when Steffy came back from Paris he asked her to move out because he wanted to make a fair decision between her and Hope. At that point Steffy still didn't tell Liam that she is pregnant because she wanted him to choose her for her and not because of their baby. Everything changed when she found out that Brooke organized a surprise wedding for Hope and Liam at Malibu with the priest that married them from Italy. Liam was shocked, but decided to marry Hope. Liam was already putting a ring on Hope's finger when Steffy stopped the wedding and announced her pregnancy. Liam told Hope that he wants to be present in his child's life and it's not about what he wants anymore. Hope was heartbroken when Liam chose a life with Steffy and their baby, but encouraged him to propose to Steffy so the baby could be born when they are already married.

Liam was furious with Steffy for not listening to him when he forbid her from driving while carrying their baby, but he didn't let Steffy know about it and comforted her while suffering in secret. He told Bill that he thinks about leaving Steffy because Hope is still in his heart and that he would marry her during the surprise Malibu wedding. Bill still encouraged his son to stay with Steffy. Steffy's mother encouraged Liam and Steffy to try for another baby immediately. Liam didn't want it, but he was scared to admit it. Steffy on the other hand went to see doctors to check when she can try again. Taylor told Hope to stay away from Liam and informed her that her daughter and him are trying to have another baby. Hope and Liam spoke and she asked him if he wants another baby. When Liam revealed that it's the furthest thing from his mind she told him that it's sad that they lost the child, but the reason why he married Steffy is gone. Hope believed that Liam should be with Steffy for some time until she heals, but eventually they should go back to each other.

Steffy found out that she can't conceive anymore and she told Liam that Hope can give him everything that she can't. Liam was shocked and asked Steffy what's wrong, but she didn't tell him. Liam told Hope that he has to find out why Steffy left and that when he will come back from Paris they can be together. Liam went to see Steffy in Paris where she finally confessed that she can't have children. Liam told her that they could adopt and asked her to come back home with him, but she was adamant that he should be with Hope. After a father short conversation Liam went out Steffy's apartment and when she went out and called out his name he was long gone on his way back to LA. When Liam came back to LA Hope could see that Liam is still pretty depressed about losing Steffy in such a sad way. She also noticed that he is still wearing his wedding ring. Liam took it off and proposed to Hope, but the situation still wasn't ideal because of Liam's grief. Liam met his long lost brother Wyatt Spencer than Bill conceived with Quinn Fuller. One day he saw Wyatt kissing Hope. Liam understood that Wyatt will fight for Hope so in desperation he asked Steffy to give him an annulment. Steffy didn't agree and wanted Liam and her to divorce out of respect for what they have shared which meant that Liam would have to wait 6 months to be Hope's husband which was a dangerous thing with Liam trying to seduce his fiance. Hope moves in with Liam and everything seems to go well when Steffy finally gave in and signed the annulment. Wyatt was still trying to get with Hope and Liam expressed to her that he doesn't want the two cooperating at Forrester Creations. Hope didn't break her contract with Wyatt's jewelry business and they needed to go to Mexico for a business trip. When Hope was away Liam decided to make a romantic video clip with music and their photos and send it to her. By mistake he sends the video to Steffy. She replied by saying that he wants a video of her and him as well. Liam decided to create a video for his ex as well. Wyatt was sneaky and decided to rush the fashion show which forced Hope and Liam to marry on a later date. Liam wasn't happy, but he agreed to it. Wyatt's mother Quinn accidentally saw Liam's clip for Steffy on Liam's tablet and decided to use it to help her son get the girl he wants. After the fashion show Hope and Liam went to the Big Bear Cabin where they planned their wedding day and Hope received an anonymous email from Quinn with the attached clip that Liam made for Steffy. Hope was livid when she foud out that Liam didn't create a romantic clip only for her, but also for his ex wife. Liam tried to explain the situation to Hope, but she was too traumatized by Liam's past actions to listen to him. Hope left Big Bear and Liam followed her and begged her to put on the engagement ring back on her finger, but she refused. Liam was furious when he realized that Quinn sent the clip to Hope and told her all about it. She decided to forgive the Fullers and asked Liam for more time to think over if she can forgive him.

Hope and Wyatt started flirting with each other and Liam was fighting to get back into her good graces. Aly Forrester came to town. She was a huge fan of Hope and her Hope for the future line. She wanted Liam and Hope to remain together and disliked Wyatt with a passion. When Hope and Wyatt kissed during a photoshot Aly expressed to Liam that she doesn't like how Hope is treating him. Liam put his foot down with Hope and she agreed to marry him. Quinn was angry that her son lost his chance with Hope so she decided to manipulate the situation again she she convinced Steffy Forrester to show up and inform Liam that she is fertile again. Steffy allowed Quinn to convince her and she showed up at Liam's doorstep the day Hope and Liam were supposed to get married. She told Liam that she had a procedure that made her fertile again and she wants him back, but he told her that he is committed to Hope. Hope saw them talking and realized that Steffy will always be a factor in their relationship so she runs off to Hawaii and Wyatt goes with her. Brooke informed Liam that Hope saw him and Steffy. Furious Liam found out Quinn was the one that brought Steffy to him on his wedding day and he flew to Hawaii to explain everything to Hope, but she refuses to go back home with him. Liam went back to LA to confront Quinn, but she replied by saying that he has to stay away from Wyatt and Hope. Soon Hope starts dating Liam's brother. When Liam overhears that Wyatt faked the robbery of the "Hope for the future diamond" to impress Hope he wants to tell him, but Quinn trapped him in the building. Liam managed to escape and revealed the truth about the Diamond to Hope in front of Wyatt. Hope was disappointed and left the two arguing men alone and later decided to give Wyatt a second chance which absolutely crushed Liam.
Hope dating two brothers[]
Hope was happy dating Wyatt until her pregnancy scare. She made a pregnancy test and found out that she isn't pregnant, but the whole thing made her realize that even though she isn't ready to trust Liam again she isn't ready to lose him. Liam and Wyatt offered that Hope can go on dates with the both of them and this way she can decide which brother she will choose. Hope confessed that she liked getting attention from the both of them after what Liam put her through with Steffy in the past. The two fought so hard that Liam even stole Wyatt's camper with Hope inside it to prevent their date from happening. Liam tried to impress Hope by charity and adopting a cat for her. Wyatt's crazy mother struck again when she locked her sons competitor in the Forrester sauna. The young Spencer almost lost his life.

Wyatt hit Liam during a heated argument about his mother and Hope was furious. After this she made the final decision to reunite with Liam and she fired Wyatt from Forrester creations. Quinn begged Liam convince Hope to hire her son back, but he refused so Quinn stabbed him with his sword necklace. Later Quinn entered Liam home which caused him to fall and twist his ankle. He told Hope everything about it. In the evening Quinn comes back to Liam's home once more and threatens Liam and Hope's lives. Both of them started to be scared of Wyatt's mother. It didn't take long before Quinn attacked Liam again, but this time he was saved by Wyatt before she could harm him. After that incident Quinn agreed to get psychiatric help and the two brothers made peace and Wyatt even comes back to work at Forrester Creations to cooperate with the new jewelry designer Ivy Forrester.

In July 2014 Wyatt inherited "The Hope for the future diamond" and decided to give it to Hope. Liam didn't like that his brother gave his expensive gift to Hope. Wyatt gave it to Hope during an official press conference and she agreed to take it. Liam became furious and this time he didn't ask Hope to simply give the diamond back to Wyatt, but he also wanted Hope to fire Wyatt from FC, but she denied. Soon Hope, Wyatt and Rick wet to Paris to promote the diamond and Hope's collection. The Logan woman invited Liam to come to Paris and told him that he has to show up at the Eiffel tower at the right time so they can start their lives together. Liam went to Paris and he met Ivy Forrester on the plane. He told her that he is planning to get married to Hope when he will arrive in France. He didn't know that Quinn was secretly stalking them and she threw Ivy into the river so Liam couldn't arrive at the tower on time. Liam decided to save Ivy's life because she couldn't swim. While Liam was Ivy's hero Wyatt was with Hope and told her that Liam will always disappoint her. Hope was heartbroken believing that she isn't important enough for Liam. She decided to go to Monte Carlo with Wyatt where they spontaneously married on a yacht.

Bill informed Liam that his brother married Hope and told him to respect his brothers marriage however Ivy and Aly encouraged him to fight for his love. Liam decided to tell Hope the truth and it crushed her. Liam agreed to go on a date with Ivy as he tried to forget Hope and the two shared a kiss. Liam is furious when Wyatt asks Liam to take his home and give him his bigger home instead because they will need it for the children that he and Hope will have. Pamela Douglas and Charlie Webber discovered that Quinn was the one who pushed Ivy to the river in Paris. Liam exposed Quinn and asked Hope to go back to him. She wanted to, but she couldn't because she was already pregnant with Wyatt's baby. Liam wanted to raise this baby as his, but Hope didn't want to lie to Wyatt so Liam asked Hope to abort the baby and she replied that she already loves this child. Liam and Ivy get closer and he tell her that Hope and Wyatt are going to stay together because of the baby. Liam started dating Ivy and even met her father John Forrester. After spending Halloween together they also traveled to Amsterdam where Forrester Creations promoted their new jewelry line. Hope and Wyatt were also there and when Ivy and Liam kissed on a boat Hope saw it through the window and cried. Wyatt saw it and requested these kind of things to finally stop as he could see how Hope and Liam still felt about each other. Hope was angry at Ivy for dating Liam so fast and at Wyatt for organizing the romantic boat trip for Liam and Ivy. She was even more heartbroken when Liam told her that he and Ivy shared "I love you's" during their boat trip.

Hope tried to make things with Wyatt work even though she missed Liam terribly but she demanded from Wyatt to keep his mother away from her and their baby. Quinn tried every trick in the book to get closer and dreamt about being in her grandsons life. One day Liam had a bad feeling so he went to visit Hope and saw her laying on the ground and Quinn standing beside her. Quinn explained that she only wanted to talk and Hope lost balance on the stairs. Liam took Hope to the hospital where she was informed that she has lost her baby. Liam comforted Hope until Wyatt showed up. Hope told her husband that they had a son and they grieved. The Logan woman couldn't cope with losing her son. Liam and her met in the garden where Hope told him that she will move to Italy. She gave him a goodbye kiss and left. Soon Wyatt confirmed that Hope has decided to end their marriage.

Hope was trying to date in Milan and Liam left Ivy for his old flame Steffy Forrester. Hope found it difficult to come back because she still loved Liam, but after years of staying away Hope came back to LA because she got an offer from Ridge Forrester to re-new Hope for the Future. Brooke was happy to see her daughter back. Soon Hope heard from Sally Spectra that Liam lives in a hotel and now and not with his wife Steffy Forrester. Hope asked Liam for his location. Liam was shocked when he saw a text from Hope after such a long time and he immediately sent her his address. When Hope showed up Liam was mesmerized and during their conversation he explained to her that Steffy cheated on him with his father and that she is pregnant with his baby, but she needed a paternity test to confirm that he is the father. Steffy was horrified when she heard that Hope is back at such a fragile time and Ridge felt guilty for inviting Hope before finding out that his daughters marriage isn't solid anymore. Steffy asked Hope to help her for the sake of the unborn baby. Hope was jealous, but decided to help. She told Liam that she believes that Steffy won't do the same mistake again and convinced Liam to go with Steffy to the first ultrasound where he learned that he will have a daughter. Hope saw the ultrasound photo and ran out of Liam's apartment because it triggered her memories about the child she herself lost. Hope explained to Liam how hard it is for her because of their past and they both agree that their lives would be different if Bill and Steffy wouldn't manipulate them in the past and that they will always love one another.

Hope continued to support Steffy's fight to get Liam back for a while and even went to Liam on Valentine's day to bring him a gift from Steffy. When Steffy noticed that Hope isn't helping her anymore she became annoyed. The real problem started when she saw Liam at Forrester Creations and he revealed that he is looking for Hope and not her. This moment Steffy decided to ask Liam to touch her belly and feel the baby kicking. Liam got emotional and agreed to come to dinner that evening. After dinner Steffy again asked Liam to come back to her, but he confessed that he is still confused and left her crying. Soon Liam found out that his father got shot and he goes to the hospital where both Hope and Steffy comfort him. When Steffy noticed that Liam forgave his father she asked if he could also forgive her. Hope found out that Bill proposed to Steffy the night he was shot and reveals it to Liam. He is grateful that she is the only person that's honest with him and Steffy gets angry at Hope because she hoped that Liam could forgive her easier if he would first forgive Bill. When Bill woke up Liam confronted him, but Bill said he only wanted to give Steffy and the baby security. Steffy invited Liam over again and he asked Hope for an advice if he should go or will it give Steffy a false hope. Hope advised him to go and when he arrived he his his head on a branch and developed fake memories about being his father's shooter. Hope arrived at Liam's hotel room and saw him in a horrible condition. He believed that he shot his own father because he saw him proposing to Steffy and that's what he told Hope. This is when Hope decided that Steffy is wrong for Liam as what she did had a too big impact on his mental health. Liam confessed that he was the one who shot him and Bill got angry, but Hope demanded from Bill to keep silent about it because he owed Liam that after what he put him through. Liam also told Steffy about it. She was horrified, but still wanted him back with her and their baby. Liam felt incredibly guilty, but Hope explained to him that he was pushed by both Bill and Steffy. After that she confessed her love for him and kissed him. Soon Steffy found out that her mother was the one who shot Bill because she believed that Bill raped Steffy. Steffy told Liam that Bill remembers that he is not the shooter. Liam was ecstatic and told Hope about it. They both celebrated Liam's innocence and ended up in each other's arms. Hope asked Liam to start a new life with her. Steffy decided to sign the annulment papers that Liam gave to her shortly after finding out about her ONS with his dad. She said that she still hopes that he will want to work things out with her. She also told him that she will buy Bill's house on the cliff so it could be officially theirs. Liam took the papers, but felt torn. Liam agreed when Hope offered Liam to live in her mother's cabin. Steffy was angry when he realized that Liam will live on the same property as Hope and she confronted her, but Hope denied trying to use their crisis to her advantage. Steffy's father Ridge Forrester tried to convince Liam to go back to Steffy and he assured him that soon he will make his decision. Liam wanted to go back to his pregnant wife, but he could still see Bill when he looked at Steffy. Hope kissed Liam ad reminded him that if not for Bill's manipulations they would be a married couple however in May 2018 Liam announced that he wants to forgive Steffy and he sent her flowers. Steffy was overjoyed and told everything about it to her mother. Bill decided to scheme and made Wyatt believe that he and Steffy have an ongoing affair. Wyatt decided to inform his brother and for Liam it was the end. He informed Steffy that it's over and went straight to Hope and told her about Steffy and Bill's affair.

Liam proposed to Hope and the two made love. In the morning he filed the annulment papers and his marriage to Steffy officially stopped existing in the eyes of the law. Liam had flashbacks of his life with Steffy and secretly mourned their marriage. Hope and Brooke were talking about Liam when Steffy stormed into their home. She spotted that Hope has an engagement ring on her finger and demanded answers. Hope said that she and Liam had enough of her and Bill's manipulations and they will finally be together. Steffy replied that she and Liam can't be engaged because she is his wife. Steffy was shocked when Hope revealed that Liam filed the annulment and she is no longer Liam's wife. She accused Hope of agreeing to marry Liam when he was angry and hurt and called her a disgrace. This is when Hope's mother Brooke Logan stepped in and said that the only disgrace is the woman who slept with her father in law. Ridge told Liam he made a huge mistake and Steffy asked him to not marry Hope until their baby is born in hopes that this will change his mind.

Wyatt found out the truth about Bill's manipulation and confessed to Hope's aunt Katie Logan. Katie told Wyatt that it's better to not tell Liam anything and that it's for the better, but during Hope and Liam's wedding ceremony Wyatt feels guilty and tells his brother the truth. Liam and Hope talk before Liam decided to go back to Steffy. Liam and Steffy welcomed their baby Kelly Spencer and moved in back together. Shortly after Liam proposed to Steffy and Hope was really struggling to move on. Steffy wanted Hope and Liam to stop working together, but Liam said that he will first finish Hope's website. One day Hope discovered that she's pregnant and she told Liam about it during the 4th of July celebrations on the roof where in the past she agreed to his marriage proposal. Liam was shocked, but he called their baby a blessing. Liam told Steffy about Hope's pregnancy. Steffy was heartbroken and asked Liam if he is sure that the baby is his. Liam confirmed and Steffy started crying and said that they have to be there for Hope as a married couple. At first Liam nodded, but later he told Steffy that he is in no position to marry her as he still doesn't know what Hope's pregnancy means for him. Hope made it clear to Steffy that she will fight for her baby to have a full time father, but Steffy replied that Liam is with her and her pregnancy doesn't change anything. Liam told Wyatt that he is torn between two women and doesn't know which mother of his child to chose. Brooke had a talk with Liam and told him that Hope is the better woman and that she would never sleep with his father. Liam went to Forrester Creations to see Hope's fashion show and he couldn't get his eyes off her. After the fashion show they hugged and Bill had a photo of this moment so he went to inform Steffy about it. Bill told her that Liam always wanted Hope and if not for their manipulations they would be together. Steffy couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the photo so she ran straight to Forrester Creations. Meanwhile Hope was changing in the dressing room when Liam walked in on her. After a second Liam ran straight at Hope and started kissing her passionately. Steffy found the two and was livid. Liam tried to calm her down but she ran off after yelling at the both of them. Hope encouraged Liam to go after Steffy and make sure that she's ok. Liam was looking for Steffy at home, but she wasn't there. When she finally arrived she had Bill's sword necklace on and told Liam that she will marry his father. Liam said that Steffy need to forgive him, but she didn't want to. Liam wasn't happy about the concept of Steffy being with Bill and him raising Kelly. Ridge demanded from Liam to fight for Steffy and their family. In the end Steffy didn't agree to marry Bill, but he felt guilty and gave her the Forrester shares she previously requested. Steffy informed Liam that even if she doesn't want to marry his dad it doesn't mean that she will go back to him and she gave Hope her engagement ring. Liam said that he wanted to be the one to propose and Steffy shouldn't do this instead of him.

Later Steffy told Liam that she saw everything and he gave her back the engagement ring that he once bought her so one day she could give it to Kelly. Hope reached out to Steffy and invited her to the wedding. Steffy asked Taylor to come with her. Taylor thought that it's a horrible idea, but when Brooke told her to not come to the wedding she decided to go out od spite. Minutes before the ceremony Taylor went to speak to Liam and asked him to go back to Steffy. Liam said that he loves Steffy, but he is committed to Hope. Later Taylor ruined their wedding cake during a food fight with Brooke and tried to make a speech, but was stopped. Hope and Liam got married. Their happiness ends for a moment when during an ultrasound the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat, but fortunately it was a false alarm and the baby was fine. Soon Ridge choses Steffy Intimates line over Hope for the future. Hope was angry with Steffy as in her mind her line has more meaning. Liam comforted his wife. Hope and Liam discovered that they are expecting a baby girl and Hope decided to name her after her grandmother Beth Logan.

Steffy's mom still couldn't handle that her daughter's family is broken and she verbally attacked Hope. Liam witnessed Taylor screaming at Hope which led him to a confession. Liam knew that Taylor was the one who shot his dad in the past. Hope was shocked. When Hope saw Taylor yelling at Brooke and saying that she hates her more than anyone else in the world Hope got scared for her mother safety and intervened. Liam spoke to Steffy and told her that he is afraid that Taylor shouldn't be around kids as she's unstable. Steffy managed to convince Liam that there is nothing to worry about, but Hope told her that she doesn't want Taylor around Beth. Steffy was defending her mother and refused to accept Hope's request. When Taylor found out that Hope and Brooke know about the shooting he was horrified and begged Brooke to not call the police on her knees. Hope was annoyed with Liam for taking Steffy's side and asked him who he wants to spend his life with. When Steffy realized that Kelly and her sister might not spend that much time together she decided to adopt a child so Kelly could grow up with a sister. Taylor met a doctor named Reese Buckingham and the two clicked. She told him how Brooke ruined her family and Hope ruined Steffy's family. She also confided in him that her daughter wants to adopt a child and money is no issue for her.

Hope said to Liam that her doctor gave her a heads up when she asked if she can travel and she wanted them to go on a baby moon to the Catalina island. Hope went to the airport sooner as Kelly had a fever so Liam had to visit her first. Hope arrived at the island, but Liam wasn't able to get to her because the weather suddenly changed. Hope was horrified when her water broke and she realized that she will be giving birth prematurely on and island during a storm. Hope arrived at the only open clinic where Reese was the only doctor. During labor Hope passed out and Reese remembered Taylor's words about Steffy wanting to adopt a baby. He came up with a plan to exchange Hope's healthy baby with a dead baby of a woman that gave birth at the hospital shortly before Hope arrived there. He decided to do it because he had a gambling debt and gagsters wanted to hurt his daughter Zoe Buckingham. Bill helped Liam, Brooke and Ridge to get to the island by using his private jet. Hope woke up and saw Liam. At first she was happy and believed that their daughter is alive. Liam told Hope that their baby is dead and Hope demanded to see Beth. Reese brought the dead baby to Hope and she held it and cried. Liam told Ridge, Brooke and Bill that nobody is more fit to be a mother than Hope and he didn't understand why it had to happen to her. Hope was absolutely heartbroken and inconsolable. She was blaming herself for losing yet another baby and said that she can't get pregnant again. Liam tried to comfort her, but it was impossible.

Reese informed Taylor that there is a baby that Steffy can adopt. He told her the legal fees are 250k. Taylor is a bit surprised by the amount, but decides to give it a try. Steffy went to see the baby and instantly fell in love with her. Reese asked his old friend from Vegas to play the baby's mother. Taylor paid for the baby and Reese prepared fake documents. Steffy invited Liam to met her new baby that she named Phoebe and he is instantly drawn to her. When Hope met her she also felt the same way and she constantly wanted to hold her. Steffy told Liam that he will be Phoebe's father and wanted them to bond, but at the same time she was a bit creeped out by how much Hope depends on her adoptive daughter and told Liam that it isn't healthy. When Steffy said that she is leaving LA to spend some time with Paris with the girls Hope was crushed as she didn't want Phoebe to go, but Steffy said that it's time for Hope and Liam to work on their marriage and that they needed that time alone. Hope met Flo Fulton who was the one that was pretending to be the biological mother of Hope's daughter. She felt terrible when she saw Hope and how much she suffers. Soon Hope found out that Flo is her cousin as she is Storm Logan's daughter that he didn't know about. Flo felt town between telling the truth to Hope or telling her everything, but she was scared to lose her new found family, freedom and a chance with her high school love Wyatt Spencer.

Shorty before Steffy's trip to Paris she and her mother find out that the mother of Thomas's son Douglas has died. Thomas and Douglas arrived in LA and Taylor immediately noticed that Hope is great in consoling her grandson. She shared with her ex husband Ridge that their son should be with Hope and their daughter with Liam, but Ridge didn't find this idea to be good. Thomas, who once was in love with Hope soon realized that his feelings for her never died and he wanted Hope to become his sons new mother. When Hope told Liam to annul their marriage and go be with Steffy and the girls because the kids need him Thomas tried to use it to his advantage, but Liam fought to remain with his wife. He even organized a romantic dinner and they made love. Thomas tried every trick in the book. He wrote a fake letter from Caroline where she expressed how she hopes that if she's gone Douglas will have a mother. He constantly used his son to manipulate Hope and play on her motherly instincts. Liam saw it and he was crushed when Hope didn't see it too. What made things worse is that Hope sent Liam to live with Steffy and the girls because she wanted him to be a father to the girls. Hope decided that she will force herself to be with Thomas just to give Phoebe and Beth a father and to give Douglas a mother putting her own needs last. Thomas made things between Hope and Liam even more complicated when he drugged Liam which led to him and Steffy having sex. When Liam woke up from his night of passion with his ex wife he immediately ran to Hope and explained everything to her. Hope was crushed and it only speeded her decision to let Liam go the children's well being. The worst part of this story was that Thomas found out that Hope's and Liam's baby is alive before manipulating the situation and instead of telling them about it he started threatening others to keep quiet about the whole thing. He wanted the truth to never come out so badly that when he realized that Hope's friend Emma Barber found out and wanted to tell Hope he followed her with his car and tailgated her which resulted in Emma's death. Thomas didn't feel pity for her and smiled when he saw that she's dead. He also blamed her for her tragic fate. Hope, who had no idea what was happening really planned to become his wife. Soon Thomas was horrified when his son overheard him talking about Beth being alive so he started to force his own son to lie and was abusive towards him on multiple occasions. Douglas did what his father told him to do, but felt really bad about it. When Hope wasn't ready to marry Thomas he terrified Douglas with fake ghosts. When Douglas was screaming Hope went to hug him and she made the decision to hurry and marry Douglas's father to be a full time mother to a boy that clearly needed her.

When Liam and Steffy heard that Hope and Thomas are about to get married they had very different reactions. Steffy was happy for her brother while Liam hated it. Brooke agreed with Liam that her daughter is making a huge mistake. Flo Logan, Hope's cousin was horrified when she realized that because of her lies Hope will marry Thomas. She knew how dangerous he is because he threatened her when she said that she'll tell Hope about Beth. Flo wanted to reveal the truth, but eventually she was again to scared. During Thomas and Hope's wedding ceremony Phoebe crawled to Hope's feet and called her mamma multiple times like she would know that she is her real mother. Hope became very emotional. Thomas and Hope married, but she was unable to have sex with him even during their wedding night. Liam called Hope and asked her about the wedding night. Hope revealed that they didn't consummate which relieved Liam. He said that he believed that they will be together again. Thomas was getting increasingly impatient with Hope's lack of interesting in him. He and Hope left Douglas at Steffy's and went to a hotel for a romantic get away. Thomas kissed Hope, but she didn't seem to like it. She tried to act like a wife, but it was hard for her. Hope was honest with Thomas and explained her feelings for Liam, but he told her to move on and accept the life she has with him.

When Hope and Thomas were at their "romantic getaway" at the hotel Douglas spoke to Liam in Steffy's cliff house. He told him that Beth is alive and that he knows it from daddy. At first Liam was confused, but decided to call the doctor that was supposed to be Flo's doctor. The doctor said that they didn't have a patient that goes by this name and that when Flo supposedly gave birth she wasn't even working. Liam then realized that Douglas said the truth and that the adoption documents are fake. Liam told everything to Steffy, but she was in denial and believed that it was just a mistake however Liam was certain that Phoebe is Beth at that point and he ran to the nursery to take her in his arms. He cried as he said that he is her "Dadda". Steffy watched them with concern. She said that it's not Beth, but Phoebe. Douglas was really happy to see Liam so glad to get his daughter back. Meanwhile Hope was at the hotel with Thomas watching Beth's ultrasound photo and Flo decided to tell the truth to Wyatt. When she tried Liam arrived at his home and demanded from Flo to admit what she did. Flo confirmed that she lied about being the baby's mother and that the baby is in fact Beth. Flo told Liam who knew and that she tried to say the truth many times and that Thomas threatened her that if she will tell the truth she'll end up dead like Emma. When Liam was there Thomas called her because Steffy told about Liam's discovery and Flo put him on speakers. Liam and Wyatt heard that Thomas threatened Flo and that he expected her to help him to continue lying. Liam heard Pamela Douglas's voice and they realized that Thomas took Hope to Forrester Creations as he was scared that Liam will show up at the hotel. Liam immediately drove there and managed to arrive on time before the helicopter that Thomas has organized was able to arrive. Liam locked himself with Hope in the office and started to explain to her the whole story. Hope couldn't believe what she was hearing. Thomas destroyed the door, punched Liam and used force to take Hope to the roof. Hope begged Thomas to explain, but he continued lying through the tears. Liam managed to get to them and started to fight with Thomas. Eventually Liam got the upper hand and when he held Thomas down he forced him to confess. When Thomas couldn't say a word Hope realized that it's really the truth. Thomas managed to hit Liam and escaped. Hope and Liam cried tears of joy in each others arms. The two went to Steffy's house and Liam told the babysitter that she can go. When they were alone with Beth Liam brought her to Hope and she called her "mamma" once again. Hope and Liam shared a romantic kiss while holding their baby. Hope wanted to know everything that happened and Liam told her the whole story about the baby switch. Hope was shocked that her cousin, Zoe Buckingham and Xander Avant knew about it all and didn't tell her for so long. She was even more shocked when she found out that her friend Emma Barber wanted to tell her, but she died when Thomas followed her with his car. Steffy and Kelly arrived back home and Liam's ex wife was surprised to see Hope. Hope and Liam didn't know how to tell Steffy the truth, but she noticed that something changed in the way that Hope is holding her adoptive daughter so she asked Hope to put her daughter down. Hope put her in the crib and Steffy started saying that Hope was supposed to be on her honeymoon with Thomas and that Liam ran out to see Flo. Liam confirmed that he saw her and that Flo admitted that she's not the birth mother. Steffy wanted to call Flo and Carter to take legal action, but Liam stopped her. Liam tried to explain everything to Steffy, but she said that she has enough of Liam's crazy theories. Hope said that she's very sorry, but the baby Steffy adopted was stolen. Steffy started crying and felt sick when she heard that Reese stole someone else's baby and asked if they know who the birth mother is. She tried to call Carter again, but Liam asked her to talk first. Liam put Beth into Hope's arms and she told Steffy that she has been an amazing adoptive mother. Steffy replied that she is her mother even if the papers were fabricated as their relationship is real. Hope asked if Steffy remembers that she was the patient of the man that sold the child to her mother. Hope started to describe Beth's birth in Catalina and how Reese stole their child and put another patients dead baby in her arms. Liam also informed Steffy that her brother Thomas knew about it. Steffy was in denial. Hope said that she understands that it's a shock for her, but she can help her with Beth because at this point she knows her daughter more than her. Liam assured Steffy that Taylor isn't responsible and Reese used her too. Steffy told Hope that she's not taking the baby home and said that she's Phoebe. Hope was shocked. Hope reminded that Beth was stolen from her, but Steffy asked if she wants to steal her child now. Hope said that she is grateful for the care she has given to her daughter, but she has to go with her parents. Steffy replied that she knows that she has been through, but they need to think about Phoebe. Hope protested and said that her name is Beth. She explained that she would never try to erase her from Beth's life and she could help with the transition. Steffy said that she's not her babysitter, but her mom. Hope said "You are not her babysitter and I am not your surrogate". Steffy said that al she knows is that she and Kelly love Phoebe and she needs to stay with them and Hope needs to understand what she's asking for. Hope replied that she's not asking. Steffy told Liam that they were like a family and now he just walks away. She demanded from him to tell Hope that she's wrong. Liam told Steffy that he and Hope are her parents and they can work things out, but Hope said that it's time for her to be Beth again. Brooke and Ridge arrived at Steffy's home. Ridge started comforting Steffy and Brooke ran to Hope and her granddaughter. Steffy said once again that there is no way Hope is taking her daughter home. Brooke reminded Steffy that there was nothing legal about the adoption, but Steffy said that Phoebe doesn't know it and that the only thing she knows is her, Kelly and their home. Broke assured her that as Liam's daughter she will continue knowing Steffy's home and spend time with her sister. Brooke asked what is Steffy's suggesting. Steffy suggested that Hope could be "a kind of a mother" and help raising her without taking her away. Hope said again that she's extremely grateful to Steffy for everything, but it's time for Beth to come home. Hope told Steffy to not dare to stop her from taking Beth. In the end Steffy accepted that she is going to lose the child she adopted and she collapsed in her father's arms as she saw Hope and Liam leaving with Beth.
Steffy and Thomas scheming to break Hope and Liam up[]
Hope and Liam were living in the cabin with Douglas and Beth and were a couple again. Thomas still wanted to be with Hope despite her annulling their marriage. Steffy also thought that she might get Liam back. She complained about Hope not calling her to invite her to see Beth and sent heart emojis to Liam. Hope realized what was going on and went to confront Steffy about it. The Forrester girl replied that it's Liam's choice who he will choose despite Liam already being committed to Hope. Soon the two Forrester siblings were able to use Hope and Liam's disagreement about Douglas to their advantage. Liam didn't want Hope to see Thomas even at work and he wasn't sure if taking care of Douglas full time was a good thing. Hope disagreed with Liam and when he asked her to stop cooperating with Thomas and co-parenting Douglas with him she refused. Liam was angry and went to Steffy's home where he spent the night. In the morning Liam was still at Steffy's. Thomas found out that Hope is going to the cliff house and he called Steffy asking her to kiss Liam when he will give her a signal so Hope can see it. Thomas convinced his sister by telling her that she could have Liam again. Steffy kissed Liam when her phone rang and Hope witnesses it. Thomas was lurking in the bushes when Hope cried. The Logan woman decided to leave Liam and he ended up living at Steffy's home again where the two of them shares one more kiss. After that kiss Liam didn't make any other moves on Steffy and he made it clear that he misses Hope and Beth. Liam's father told him that Steffy is the right woman for him, but it didn't convince him to move on and he continued to hope for a new chance with Beth's mother. Hope's mother also agreed that Liam and her daughter need to get back together and she had the same opinion about Thomas as her ex son in law. Thomas got engaged to Zoe Buckingham in order to scare Douglas that Hope won't be his mommy again. He hopes that this way Hope will go back to him to satisfy his sons needs. Both Liam and Brooke were sure that Thomas is still plotting and they were sure that he is using the Buckingham girl to get with Hope. Liam pleaded with Hope to not let Thomas ruin their relationship, but she replied that it was his waffling that ruined them. Steffy, seeing that Liam isn't moving on after months of living with her decided it's time to tell him the truth about the staged kiss. She told him the whole truth about how Thomas convinced her to work with him on breaking him and Hope up. Next Steffy and Liam both told Hope about it. While Liam blamed only Thomas Hope made it clear that also Steffy manipulated them more than once and blamed the both of them. Liam apologized to Hope for giving her an ultimatum in the past and convinced her to get back with him. The two were engaged again after Liam's proposal. Soon Hope, Liam and Steffy cooperated to uncover Thomas's latest scheme. Hope spoke to Zoe about it and she didn't believe that Thomas is using her however she was proven wrong when Hope appeared in a wedding dress during their wedding and Thomas wanted to leave Zoe right there and then to start his life with the Logan girl. Zoe and the whole family were very disappointed in Thomas. The humiliated young Forrester left the wedding and Hope and Liam went home with Douglas. Liam convinced Douglas to prepare t-shirt for the bride and groom. The boy also convinced Hope to marry his new step father. Hope and Liam were very happy and decided to make vows in the cabin in front of Douglas and their daughter Beth. Next day they made it legal and they were officially married again.

Steffy was heartbroken when Liam became Hope's husband again as in her head they had something special when Hope and Liam were apart. Liam assured her that he will always be there for her and Kelly, but she told him that he has another family so he won't be able to keep his word. Liam convinced Steffy that he will take care of Kelly and asked his ex wife to go out and enjoy herself. Steffy took the offer and when she was riding her motorcycle Bill Spencer Jr. accidentally hit her with his car. Steffy was rushed to the hospital where she met her doctor Finn Finnegan and the two developed an instant mutual crush. Hope and Liam took care of Kelly when Steffy was at the hospital. When the Forrester girl came back home she wanted her daughter back at home and didn't want her to stay with her father and step mother despite the pain she was in. Finnegan gave her painkillers and the bottle soon finishes. She asked for a re-fill, but he refused as there kind of pills are dangerous to use for a long time. Steffy was in physical and emotional pain. Each time she looked at the photo of her and Liam that was hanging on her wall her psychical pain worsened. Vincent Walker gave Steffy pills as a secret gift, but he made more harm than good. Steffy took the pills and she passed out on the couch. Liam came to see Kelly and he stopped Steffy laying unconscious. After managing to wake her up he confronted her. Steffy lied to him, but he found the empty bottle and realized that his ex wife is getting high. He took their daughter without listening to Steffy's plead to not take her away. Steffy took her car keys and decided to drive after Liam. When she arrived to her step mother and father's home where Liam took Kelly she started telling everyone off. She accused Hope of stealing Liam and Beth from her and asked her if now she wants to steal Kelly. At one point she started threatening people with a knife. Steffy's father Ridge arrived at the scene and realized that his daughter needs help. She was furious when her father asked Hope and Liam to take care of Kelly instead convincing them to give her back. Kelly was with her step parents until her mother could get out of rehab where she got better with the help of Finn.

Liam didn't like the fact that Steffy and Finn became a couple because in his head Finn was the one that prescribed her the pills and was responsible for her health problems. To make things worse for Spencer Thomas still wanted to be with Hope and even told Liam that the Logan woman really wants to be with him. Steffy tried to convince Liam that her brother has changed, but he didn't buy it. One day Hope and Douglas were invited for dinner to Thomas's apartment. Hope left and forgot her phone. Liam saw Hope's location and saw it was Thomas's place so he went there. He didn't know that Thomas took a mannequin that looked like Hope from Forrester Creations and had full blown conversations with it. When Liam opened the door to Thomas's apartment he saw Thomas and the mannequin in a dark room. They were kissing which deeply shocked Liam. He ran straight to Steffy and vented about Hope's betrayal. The two started drinking alcohol and Liam hinted that maybe it's not over between him and her. Liam and Steffy kissed and ended up cheating on Hope and Finn. In the morning Liam was still angry about Hope and Thomas's kiss. Hope went to Thomas place and saw him in a terrible condition. She also saw the mannequin and realized that in Thomas's mind the doll talks to him. Hope assured Thomas that she will help him. He cried and said that he really loves her and collapsed. Hope called the ambulance. Thomas has been rushed to the hospital and Liam showed up at Thomas's apartment for a confrontation. He started to accuse Hope of betraying him and she showed him the doll Thomas was kissing. Liam realized that he blamed Hope for nothing. Liam went to the hospital where he was Steffy and told her about Thomas's delusions and his relationship with a mannequin that looks like Hope. Steffy didn't want to listen as it was hard for her to stomach that her brother lost her mind. She was annoyed when she realized that Liam is staying with Hope and she forbid him from saying anything to Hope and Finn. It came out that Thomas was delusional because few weeks prior he his his head on a desk. He had to undergo a hard operation and managed to be saved. Liam felt guilty for keeping a dirty secret from his wife, but Steffy continuously convinced him to keep quiet to not destroy their relationships. One day also she realized that their one night stand needs to be revealed when she took a pregnancy test and it was positive. When Liam heard that Steffy is pregnant he hoped that the baby is Finn's. Steffy's boyfriend blamed Liam for the whole thing while Hope blamed both Liam and Steffy. Steffy made a paternity test and it came out that Liam is the father of the baby. Hope ran off from laboratory and Finn decided to stay with Steffy anyway. Thankfully soon it came to light that Thomas's friend Vincent Walker faked the results and Finn was really the father.

Hope and Liam were slowly getting closer again after the whole chaos with the paternity however everything went downhill when Liam and Bill were driving the car at night and Vincent Walker jumped in front of their car. Liam ran out of the car and tried to help Vinny, but he died in his arms. Liam was overwhelmed and fainted. Bill used it and took his unconscious son to the car. Liam woke up at his father's home and was informed that everything is taken care of. The young Spencer man was furious with his father, but it was too late and if he would call the police Bill would also end up in jail. Liam stayed quiet for some time, but it was killing him so he told Hope the truth. She comforted him and they both decided that they need to tell the truth. Liam didn't want to tell the police about his father's crime, but Hope didn't want Liam to pay for the crime he didn't commit and told the police about her father in law. Both Liam and Bill ended up in jail and Justin Barber became their lawyer. They believed that Justin wants to help him, but he secretly hoped for them to remain in jail so he could take control of Spencer Publications. One day Thomas Forrester unblocked his deceased friend's number and then he received a video massage from him in which Vincent said that he is doing this for him so Hope would leave Liam and be with him. On the video Vinny jumped in front of Liam's car. Thomas contemplated if he should delete the video or not, but eventually he decided to do the right thing and went to Liam and Bill's lawyer with the video evidence. Justin hit Thomas on the head and locked him in the Spencer building basement where nobody could hear him. Nobody could find Thomas and Hope noticed that Justin has his phone so she went looking for him. She found him and saved him and when Thomas told everything to the police Liam and Bill were released. Hope and Liam were happy to be reunited and Justin was fired from Spencer Publications.
Problems with Deacon and Steffy's partial amnesia[]
When Liam learned that Hope was secretly writing letters to her father Deacon Sharpe he was less than thrilled. Hope tried to convince Liam that her father needs to get a chance, but Liam didn't trust her father in law who just left jail for trying to murder Quinn Fuller. Deacon didn't only want to be close to Hope, but to get her married mother back. One day Deacon and Brooke shared a kiss, but it happened because Brooke was drunk after Sheila Carter changed the labels on champagne. When Brooke's husband Ridge Forrester found out and left both Hope and Liam were supporting Brooke. Soon everyone was shocked when they found out that Steffy Forrester and her husband Finn Finnegan got shot. Steffy was in a coma and Finn was dead. Naturally Hope and Liam rushed to the hospital and when Steffy woke up she didn't remember Finn and the son she had with him and in her memory she was still married to Liam and the only child she has was her daughter Kelly Spencer. Steffy's mother Taylor Hayes said that Liam has to go along with it because Steffy is too weak to hear the truth. Hope tried to accept it and went along with it, but it was hard for her to witness her husband acting like he would still be Steffy's husband. Hope's mother Brooke Logan was very displeased with the situation and she argued with Taylor about it. At first Bridget Forrester that was Steffy's doctor, said that Steffy might be too fragile to find the truth out, but after making further test she said that she's strong enough. Liam and Steffy's family were present when she found out the truth about her husband. Steffy was crushed and needed Liam's support. Hope was supportive, but also worried. Thomas Forrester, who was still obviously in love with Hope tried to put doubts in her head, but she defended her husband. One day Steffy asked Liam to stay with her and he fell asleep on the couch. Hope was worried, but forgave Liam. When Steffy took her children to Europe Hope and Liam were able to forget about the previous stress and they shared many romantic moments together.
