Kyle Jenkins Abbott (born Christian Victor Newman) is a resident of The Young and the Restless's Genoa City, portrayed by Michael Mealor.
Biography[]
Kyle is the son of Jack Abbott and boyfriend to Summer Newman. He was born on January 5, 1990. Summer appeared in two episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful with her boyfriend Kyle in 2021. Summer came for a business trip and visited Spencer Publications where she has met Flo Fulton. The two share the same enemy Sally Spectra II. Flo revealed to Summer some spicy information about Sally as a revenge for holding her hostage and trying to get pregnant with her boyfriend, Wyatt Spencer.
Early Years[]
Kyle was originally thought to be the child of Victor Newman, because Diane took Victor's sperm when they divorced, but Victor's current wife switched the sperm with Jack's. Diane renamed her son Kyle Jenkins Abbott after her father. Once Kyle was revealed to be Jack's son, a bitter custody battle ensued. Jack was granted visitation, but immediately questioned Diane's motives as she was planning on winning Jack back from his marriage to Phyllis Summers. Diane has set up a plan to accuse Phyllis of arson and attempted murder by setting the Abbott pool house on fire.
Phyllis convinced Jack that Diane set her up so that she could have him, and they resolved to expose Diane - to such lengths that Jack took Diane to bed and seduced her into a confession. Phyllis was acquitted, then found the note that Diane had written to pay a bum to call Phyllis away from the wedding. Jack and Phyllis used this as blackmail to get Diane to turn over custody of Kyle. However, due to the friction caused by Jack working for Jabot Cosmetics and Phyllis working for Newman Enterprises, Jack eventually gave his son Kyle back to Diane. Diane soon left town with Kyle.
Kyle's Secret[]
On February 8, 2021, after learning from his friend Sally Spectra about Kyle and Summer's trip to Los Angeles to dig up dirt on Sally, his cousin Theo Vanderway decides to give Sally leverage to use against Kyle and Summer by revealing while Theo and Kyle were at a party in the Hamptons, a few years ago in the Summer, Kyle meets and fell in love with the much older and beautiful Tara Locke, the wife of a ruthless Business mogul Ashland Locke nicknamed "The Locke Ness Monster", and the affair between Kyle and Tara produced a three year old son named Harrison Locke. Ashland doesn't know about his wife's affair with Kyle or that Kyle is the father of Harrison. Later, while visiting Kyle at the Jabot boardroom, Theo tells him that while he was in New York, he ran into Tara and her three year old son Harrison, who Theo mentioned that he has Kyle's dimples. Then Theo tells Kyle what would "Daddy Locke Ness Monster" would do to him, even Summer. After Theo left, Kyle mentioned to Sally don't believe into what Theo is saying, Sally replied she hoped that whatever Theo say isn't true, but if it is, she hope she doesn't want blow up his life. Later at the Grand Phoenix, Kyle tells Summer that Theo and Sally knows about his affair with Tara, but not about the possibility of him being the father of Harrison. Now Kyle, Summer and Sally have the ammunition that can be used against each other, they have decided to cease fire for now Kyle later decided to contact Tara about Theo's claims about Harrison, but Tara texted Kyle to tell him not to contact her. Then, Kyle later confides his fears to Mariah Copeland about his situation with Tara, the possibility of Harrison being his son and what would Ashland do to him, if he found out that Kyle had an affair with his wife and him not being the father of Harrison.
Finding out about Tara and Sally's Scheme[]
Kyle tries to move from Summer by raising Harrison, and working at Jabot. However Kyle keeps calling Summer into changing her mind. Phyllis befriends Tara into find more information on her and Sally. Phyllis tells Jack and Kyle that Sally and Tara was working together and ran Summer off to Italy. Phyllis shows a video of Sally and Tara at the park arguing, and tells the men that she saw Tara's contact on Sally's phone. Jack and Kyle does not believe Phyllis's accusation. However Kyle now becomes suspicious of Tara when he hears her talking to Sally on her phone. Kyle video chats Summer and questions her on why she really left, and tells her that Phyllis told him that Tara may have been involved. Summer emotionally tries to get Kyle to let it go, but Kyle keeps pushing her. Summer confesses to Kyle that Tara made her leave to Italy, because she had threatened to take Harrison away from him and disappear with him. Also Summer tells Kyle that she tried to think of ways to keep Harrison with them, but Tara made sure to her that Kyle could never find them if she did not take the job in Italy. Kyle is furious and rushes to the mansion. Jack calms Kyle down and tell his son that he had already confronted Tara, on her plot and she confessed. When Tara walks in the living room Kyle furiously confronts Tara, and her scheme to use their son. Tara tries to justify her action to Kyle and Jack that she did it for Harrison. Kyle is disgusted when he see's Tara's true colors when she revealed that she wants the control and financial status. Tara began to pack her and Harrison stuff and Kyle begs Tara not to take his son. Tara refuses and gloats that to Kyle that he could see them when they move to a different town. Tara is about leave but Phyllis and Lauren walk in just in time to stop Tara. Kyle is shocked when Lauren reveals that Tara stole money from her own company and putting it on another account. As well as refusing to give Lauren her financial information on her company from her accountant. Also planning to steal from Fennimore if Lauren would have sign off on a deal to do business with Tara. Tara realizes that Phyllis hacked in her account and thinks that it will be admissible. However Lauren informs Tara that Nick had contacted her accountant and he is willing to cooperate with the authorities. Phyllis lets the police in, and they arrested Tara. Kyle worries about telling Harrison about Tara. Jack tells Kyle that they will work together to provide Harrison stability and love. Jack also tells Kyle to show sympathy to Tara if she is released from jail. Kyle asks Jack to watch Harrison for a few day, and leaves on his jet. In Italy Summer hears a knock on the door and is shocked to see Kyle there. Kyle explains to Summer that he is taking her home with him and both kiss.
