Kristen Forrester Dominguez (formerly Garrison) is a fictional character on the American CBS soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, portrayed by Tracy Melchior from 2001 to 2003 on contract and from 2004 to 2017 on recurring basis. The role was originated by Teri Ann Linn from 1987 to 1994.
Biography[]
Kristen is the oldest daughter of Eric Forrester and his wife Stephanie Douglas. She is freelance designer who has been married twice. Stephanie thought Kristen was getting too close to Eric and hired gigolo, Clarke Garrison, to date Kristen. They eventually fell in love. She married Clarke in 1988 and resulted in divorced in 1990.
Competing company, Spectra Fashions had been going downhill and Antonio Dominguez wanted to rebuild it and give it a new look while Eric had the same idea. Eric sent Kristen to convince Tony to join them. He denied her request proving loyal to Spectra but instead asked her on a date. They began to romance each other. Tony realized that his past love, Ellen, had died from AIDS and that he had a risk of developing this disease. With the help of doctor Taylor Hamilton, he came to terms with his HIV results as positive. Tony broke up with Kristen fearing that she might contract the disease.
A determined Kristen continued to implore and pursue Tony and promised to fulfill his deepest longings. Kristen's insistence led to Tony giving in to their passion for one another despite Eric's and Clarke's concerns and objections. Kristen and Tony were completely aware of the ramifications of continuing their relationship before announcing it to Eric and Stephanie. Soon after, Kristen proposed to Tony.
Although the Forresters' were initially opposed to the union, all tension was over come when Eric finally accepted Tony's request for him to stand up as best man. After Kristen and Tony married, they honeymooned in Africa on Safari. While there, they encountered Zende, an orphan who was accused of stealing a role of film from them. They soon bonded with the boy. Later at Zende's orphanage, Tony and Kristen learned that many of the children there were orphans of AIDS. Tony and Kristen fell in love with Zende and wanted to raise him. They left Africa, but returned a short while later and adopted Zende and took him back to L.A. with them. Tony, Kristen and Zende faded into the background, and have since been said to be living in Florida. Kristen continues to make frequent appearances in L.A. for family and business reasons.
Tony returned to Los Angeles along with Kristen in late 2012 to attend Stephanie's party, as she was dying of lung cancer and also celebrated Christmas that year with the other Forresters. Kristen visited for Christmas in 2013 and received mention when a grown-up Zende relocated to Los Angeles on his own in 2015; Kristen returned with Tony in 2017 to attend Zende's wedding to Nicole Avant.
Storylines[]
In 2012, Eric fails to reach Ridge in Paris just as Felicia and Kristen arrive at the Forrester Mansion greeting their mother. Pam also drops by but quickly rushes out with Eric... On the Spencer jet, Bill, Brooke, Steffy and Liam head home to L.A. Katie, still haunted by sounds of a crying baby, calls Taylor and asks her if she's heard from Bill or Brooke. Brooke and Bill discuss Katie's erratic behavior. Over in Beverly Hills, Eric returns to the main house just as Thorne arrives. Stephanie wonders what is going on as several young girls arrive at the Mansion. Eric tells his angry wife that he took the liberty to rearrange her party plans and that there will be a surprise.
In 2017, It's the day of Zende and Nicole's wedding: Zende, Rick, and Eric greet Kristen and Tony who arrive from Miami and are extremely happy for their son. Eric kisses Quinn who is slightly uneasy to have her portrait in the living room being replaced by one of Nicole for the occasion. Upstairs, Nicole shares a tender moment with Maya, Vivienne and Julius. Sasha steps in and expresses her gratitude to Nicole for allowing her to be part of the festivities. In the kitchen, Pam tends to the caterers and shows Charlie the wedding cake she made. Over at Spectra Fashion, Sally announces to Shirtey, Saul and Darlita that she came up with the perfect idea to garner more publicity. Dressed as caterers, Sally and Shirley head over to the Forrester Mansion bearing another, rather sad-looking, wedding cake. Sally gushes about mingling with the Forresters and spotting Thomas. Steffy, Liam, Ridge and R.J. join the other guests and Carter who is serving as Justice of the Peace, just before the ceremony begins.
The Forrester and Avant families are united at the Forrester Mansion for the big wedding of Nicole and Zende. After Carter has recited their love story and many family members have expressed well wishes, Nicole and Zende make their vows and become husband and wife. Pam notices alleged caterers Sally and Shirley watching the ceremony instead of working, but Charlie thinks they should focus on the happy couple instead. Over at Spencer Publications, Bill and Wyatt commiserate on their failed relationships. Bill refuses to accept Brooke and Ridge's engagement as he is convinced that Ridge will screw her up like he always does.
The Forrester and Avant families congratulate newlyweds Nicole and Zende. Sasha and Pam, as the lone unmarried females, duke it out over the tossing of the bouquet with the latter winning. Ridge and Quinn exchange awkward looks as they still feel uncomfortable about the tension between them. Charlie tries to calm down Pam who thinks that the lazy caterers are tabloid reporters looking to get the inside scoop on the wedding. In the kitchen, Shirley grows nervous that the undercover mission will backfire on them. Indeed, Thomas looks right through Sally's disguise when he spots her. He gives Sally a kiss and advises her to leave, before someone blows her cover. A while later, Steffy finds Sally and confronts her about her latest attempt to prey on the Forrester fame. Sally apologizes for the food fight at Il Giardino the other day, but Steffy simply decides to pay Sally back by pushing her into Shirley's cake. As the reception winds down, Quinn oversees her portrait being reinstalled in its place on the wall and then canoodles with Eric.
