John Forrester is a character on The Bold and the Beautiful, portrayed by comedian Fred Willard between October 2014 and June 2015.
Background[]
John is the older brother to fashion designer Eric Forrester. John has been mentioned several times before but never had made an appearance on-screen. He has been married to Maggie Forrester, which produced their daughter, Jessica Forrester. They soon divorced and John married an Australian woman named Claire Forrester in which they have two children: John Forrester Jr. and Ivy Forrester. John is the grandfather of Electra Forrester, the daughter of his son, John Jr.
Storylines[]
In October 2014, John surprised his brother, Eric, by showing up at Forrester Creations and the two catch up on everything that has happened since last seeing each other. John then asks Eric how Ivy is making out at the company, to which Eric says she is doing wonderful with her jeweley designs. He then lets John know that Ivy has been somewhat showing some interest in a new man, Liam Spencer. John later has a talk with Liam and seems impressed by him.
At a gethering at The Forrester Mansion, John was busy storytelling and started flattering Pamela Douglas, much to the annoyance of her boyfriend, Charlie Webber. John sets up a dog show for Pam to pick a new dog which she loved them all. Pam couldn't choose one though.
Eric left with John to travel through Europe very briefly. Eric returned to Los Angeles.
John returned to see how his "koala bear" Ivy was doing. Ivy informed him she's married to Liam now but only to keep her from being deported. John asked why not make the marriage real. Ivy explained that Liam still has unresolved feelings for Steffy. John encouraged Ivy to fight for the man she loves.
In October 2024, when Ivy Forrester and Electra Forrester come to town, it is revealed that John has died.
