Storyline:[]
In 1994, Brooke met James Warwick. At first, Brooke thought that he is using her to get Taylor Hayes as James confessed to Logan that he loved Ridge Forrester's wife very much. Soon, Ridge and Brooke are going on a business trip to Paris. However, Thorne Forrester takes his place. Upon his return, Logan learns that Taylor and James have gone to Big Bear. Brooke began to suspect that something important had happened between James and Taylor. Seeing it as a chance to get Ridge back, she began to ask Taylor about it, but she didn't reveal anything. When Ridge didn't seem interested in leaving his wife, Brooke decided to take a new interest in James. The two bonded and James really fell for Brooke so when Taylor supposedly died in a plane crash he feared that Ridge will take his girlfriend. James proposed to secure his place in Brooke's life. Logan was temped to return to a grieving Ridge, but tried not to think about it and she worked on her relationship with Warwick. The first problems started when Brooke's children didn't like the idea of James becoming their step father. Ridge and Brooke argued about and Logan defended her fiancé. When the Forrester man tells Brooke he wants her back she decided to stay with Warwick who unlike Ridge was loyal to her. Brooke and James leave her children with Ridge and travel to Santa Barbara to get married. Ridge decides to find Brooke and prevent the couple from becoming husband and wife. There is a fight between the men. Eventually, Brooke tells her devastated fiancé that she will not marry him. However, they do not part. Ridge proposes to Brooke twice, but the hesitant woman rejects his offer. Forrester sends Logan a bouquet of roses and proposes again, stating that he is doing it for the last time. Even then Brooke declines and decides to remain by James side, but not long after she realizes how much she loves her ex. Brooke leaves James and agrees to marry Ridge, but asks Warwick to be her friend however he declines the offer. During the wedding ceremony James forgave his ex fiancé and made peace with both her and Ridge.
