Sally is surprised to walk into her festively decorated office. Macy, C.J. and Darla explain that they are aware that she usually hates to celebrate her birthday, but Clarke insisted. Sally is very appreciative of this gesture. Clarke then receives a not-so-subtle reminder for his appointment: Jack Fuller of Unicorn Fashions wants to speak to him.

Stricken with pain about the uncertainty hanging over son's fate, Sally seeks solace in prayers. Macy and Darla try to comfort her. At Lonely Peak near the famous Hollywood sign, Jack tells Clarke that it is payback time and he will now find out what comes with betraying him. Clarke rushes to rescue his son. In a tackle, Clarke manages to push Rocky off the cliff and then has an intense struggle with Fuller. Suddenly, they fall off the edge and take a steep fall. All three men lie motionless on the ground as C.J. screams in horror for his father.
