Jack Finnegan and Sheila Carter had an affair and share a son Finn Finnegan and a grandson Hayes Finnegan.
Storylines[]
Sheila and Jack met at work. Jack was married to his wife Li Finnegan who was very busy with her work. The couple also had problems with conceiving. Frustrated Jack turned to Sheila for comfort and sex which resulted in a pregnancy. Jack convinced Sheila to let him and his wife adopt the baby boy. Sheila agreed, but was watching Finn's life from far. Jack didn't tell his wife that their adopted son Finn is his biological son because he didn't want her to know about the affair he had with Sheila. Ultimately Sheila convinced Jack that their son has to know the truth. When Jack told his wife and son the truth his son was furious and his wife left him.
Sheila continued trying to be in Finn's life and she ended up accidentally shooting him. Carter also shot Finn's wife when she tried to call 911. Finn was pronounced dead and Steffy was taken to the hospital where she was in a coma. Sheila hopes that Steffy will die and even tried to kill her, but she didn't manage to do it. Finn's wife had amnesia at first, but later she got her memories back. Sheila was arrested, but she got out of jail with Mike Guthrie's help. Carter discovered that her son isn't dead, but in Li Finnegan's secret care. When Sheila noticed that Li is trying to call the police the two fought and Li tried to escape. Sheila followed her with her car and Li's vehicle fell into the marina. At that time Jack was sure that Finn is dead and he was worried because he couldn't get a hold of Li either. The Finnegan woman miraculously survived and was found by Bill Spencer Jr., much to Sheila's surprise. Sheila fled once more and she was hiding until she resurfaced with Bill Spencer at her side. Bill threatened Steffy and Finn to not testify against Sheila or he will reveal that Steffy's mother shot him years before. He told everyone that he and Sheila are now together. Sheila had no idea it was just an act. Bill cooperated with the FBI and when only Sheila confessed to two murders she was arrested again. When she was caught she suffered a heart attack and Finn saved her life, despite Li encouraging him to let her die.
In May 2023 Sheila e-mailed Jack and asked to see him. He arrived, but told her that he came by just to tell her that she won't drag him into her mess. Sheila asked Jack to help her and reminded him of their son and their memories. She even went as far as hinting that they could be together again. Jack reminded her what she did to their son and he left.
