The show has been great lately. No boring Hope and Liam having pep talks in the cabin. Thank you writers for finally giving us good, interesting storylines and making Taylor and Brooke friends.
I think the writing has been decent lately except for the Hope believing that Thomas wants to change, because I personally don't think Thomas has changed, I do like Steffy but I do not like Thomas and I find any storyline with him boring. I think the Sheila/Bill storyline could be great, but if they drag it on (which they are already starting to do) then it will become boring. I don't like Steffy and Finn in general as a couple, I think they are a boring couple just like I think Hope and Liam are a boring couple. I think it has been interesting seeing Sheila being paired with other villains (Bill and Deacon) rather than her chasing a good man like Eric, I mean Bill Spencer or Deacon Sharpe are the exact type of man you would expect her to end up with, I like seeing Sheila being paired with a man on the show rather than her obsessing over Finn. I admit the show definitely isn't great (not as great as I thought it was earlier this year), it hasn't been "great" since 2017 in my opinion but I am liking the writing this year better than last years writing and definitely better than 2021's writing (which in my opinion was probably the worst year for B&B).

Yes some important characters are missing. I would like to see Amber, Bridget, Rick, Nicole, Caroline, and even Kristen again. I think bringing Kristen Forrester back would've made more sense, since she has a history on the show and she's Zende's mother. She hasn't been a series regular for years now and I think it would be interesting to see her come back to LA to be with her family.
You are right. It doesn't work at all. I don't think Bradley Bell knows what to do with Paris. I wanted Nicole to come back for Zende, I loved them as a couple. I'm not ready for another love triangle though. I also think Paris is a bit too young for Carter. He's like 40 years old and she's in her early 20s and it just doesn't feel right. The writing is all over the place and now we have Paris' mother coming in and interfering with her love life. I don't like Paris enough to care about her mother. I just see Paris as a pointless character.
